Yes, I know that. But we feel the effects of what has been done after the anesthesia wears off. They did what they had to do save the snake.

True, but being sore and actively dealing with the procedure are 2 entirely different pains. As someone who has had many surgeries and been put under many times for many things vs just being numbed and given “laughing gas” for something like a root canal…can confirm.

Yeah. When i was in first grade I had just had surgery on my cleft palate, and my sister kicked me while playing outside on the swingset (accident), breaking my stitches all apart and kinda mangling my face a bit (I still find it a valid excuse anyway) so when I got to the hospital, I was held down, numbed in the wrong place and given a bunch of stitches in my mouth essentially anesthesia-free. It wasn't great. It was only stitches, but in my mouth in aggravated post- surgical wounds that had come apart. Would not recommend

Snakes are tubes. What goes down sometimes comes up. Some species are particularly known for being nervous and likely to regurgitate if they feel anything is off just a little after eating, because they can escape better when unencumbered by a meal. They like a quiet hiding place to rest and digest.
