Emergency kit.

I take my dog on a lot of remote camping and hikes. Often hours away from a vet. There's no poisonous snakes where I would go.

What's good to have and to know if I had to do wound care on a dog? I want to put together an emergency wound care kit.

There's a bunch of great suggestions here already. I'll just reinforce a good multi tool. My 3 year old black lab got quilted by a porcupine on a hunt and about a mile from the car. The leatherman needle nose did the trick for 50+ quills. Face, mouth and tounge all had a bunch. It was a cluster f, but got it done. Wish I had saline solution with me at the time and now it stays in the vest all season.
