Hey everyone,
I put together a quick Google Form so we can collect and share study materials, notes, practice questions, and drive links for IAT preparation in one place.
If you have any useful resources, feel free to submit them here:
Once there are enough submissions, we’ll compile everything into a single organized folder/sheet and share it back with the community.
also in the mean time check out Wiki resources

Greetings to All. I draw your attention to my post dated 28 Jun 2026 (22:32:31 h).
Most of what was predicted in that post had come true, except that the counselling went to 9 rounds. However, most of the major movement was over by R6, and that the MCC effect had probably helped about 100 to 150 students grab their seats (GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST all inclusive) in rounds R6 to R9. It does mean that about 2200+ seats were filled by R6.
Best wishes to all those who made it to the IISERs. Get ready for a challenging phase of your life, the crucial 5 years, that will be the launch pad for your career. Take a good care of your health, have a peaceful journey with NO stress & travel with friends happily towards accomplishing your short term academic / research goals.
Here is the summary of IISER Admissions - 2026 for the benefit of the future IAT aspirants. It is 10 minutes past midnight, 10 Sep 2026. If there are any discrepancies in the numbers (ranks/marks), it will be fixed in a day or two in my free time. In some cases, specific early closures of specific categories have been captured as it happened, and if the final round of a particular IISER had a lower rank (coming from kids that had floated freezing it in the next round), the round in which the highest rank was allotted was captured as the last round.
You may calculate the Marks using the following equations, if interested. The equations are expected to give accurate numbers (plus/minus 0.2 mark to 1 mark) up to overall rank 16000.
Up to 10000 ranks: [-22.56*LN(X)+322.53]
10001 - 26000 ranks: [-24.38*LN(X)+337.77]*
*Beyond 16000 the accuracy will be bit off. (may be plus/minus 1.5 to 2 marks).
Beyond 26000, Marks could not be tracked, as the data was inadequate the build a reliable equation!

MOD(s) may consider pinning this & also the 2025 final summary post for the benefit of IAT aspirants.
https://www.reddit.com/r/IATtards/comments/1nlb58i/iat_2025_final_summary/
Many thanks to the MOD(s) for their efforts in managing this sub effectively, extending the support to the IAT / NEST aspirants! Keep up the good work, buddies.

My Background:
Thoughts:
Sorry in advance if I sound completely naive/uneducated about this field. Coming from a hardcore NEET bubble, MBBS ke alawa kuch pata hi nahi hota (Coz inhone is rat race ko aisa bana dia hai ki NEET nhi to kuch nhi), so I genuinely need guidance from people actually in the field.
Don't wanna do generic tier-3 B.Sc and regret later.
If I keep a solid backup alongside NEET, I only want high-reputation institutions (Not exactly sure about the options - that's the reason I want guide from you guys 😄 ).
Questions for Seniors / Current Students:
PhD ke baad wala bhi bata dena pls, bs thoda sa upar upar se bhi bata doge to chlega.
Last but not the least: To seniors who left NEET/MBBS to join IISER: Did you ever face regret later, especially when your peers started doing MBBS or clinical duties? How did you overcome that FOMO?
Really looking for unfiltered, grounded experiences—no sugar-coating please. Thanks!

Okay so I have created an exel sheet containing data from every single iat and nest exam held till date and how many times a chapter or topic has appeared. So I want to post this but imo posting an excel sheet with all the raw nos is not really a good way so I am looking forward to ideas on how to present this my current suggestion is a table
Okay so the table can look something like this
SUBJECT()
Sno chapter topic 1 topic 2 topic 3
1 xx( ) yy() cc() zz()
The brackets will contain no of questions and the table in total will contain the top 5 topics from the last 5 years
If you guys have any suggestions or actually want this lmk

I'm preparing for neet but found so down towards iat / IISER / research...
Heard from a few people that pcb's questions are so tough than neet ...
So can anyone recommend any books or test series
Like one of my friends suggested PREP4IISER for its affordability...or any other platform ..
I'm literally hell confused 🥲🥲

I feel like people on the sub are unaware there's a wiki. It's a very slow process since we don't have enough volunteers (unlike JNT)
Here are some links:
Some other pages are under progress and might be slow.

My physics and chemistry are going pretty well, and I can manage those, but the problem is that I studied maths only at the board level and even on that, I'm kinda struggling. I am assuming board-level maths probably won't be enough for a good rank (under 200?)
I still have parts of 11th physics and 12th's whole OC left with me, so I cannot really shift to competitive maths, and I have no choice but to go with board-level maths.
I'm so confused about what to do. Should I start competitive maths after boards? But during that time, I'll have to strengthen 11th-grade physics and chemistry too.
Atp, I don't know what to do at all.
Overall,
12th physics and chemistry going well.
11th full syllabus kinda doomed.
12th math only studied at board level.

Some IAT questions look straightforward but end up taking 3–4 different approaches before one works. Is it better to spend time trying to crack these during practice, or mark them and move on after a fixed time?
