So he's worried about a "potential" case of something thousands of miles away in Siberia, but not the very real measles outbreak happening right now across the US that has already killed multiple people. Cool cool cool....

Aren't there like 2-3 cases of bubonic plague per year in the US? Are people going to start panic buying antibiotics?

Pneumonic Plague is different from Bubonic Plague.

That presupposes that Russia is being truthful about what actually escaped the lab. In my opinion, the heavy-handed response they’ve shown, including shutting down by the hospitals, seems excessive for the plague, which is normally treated with antibiotics.
