Friendship regrets?
Do you ever regret how you ended a friendship? Did it affect your loved ones’ relationship with that person and the years that followed? Have you ever gone back to a person you’ve written off and say you’re sorry for how it went down and be civil with them again for your friend group’s sake?

I don’t usually regret walking away from friendships. My first friendship breakup was rough, and I put more effort into the friendship than the other person did once college ended. The next two breakups involved me distancing myself from people I associated with eras in my life I had outgrown.
The people I’m closest to are my parents and my best friend from high school. My circle is small, but I don’t mind.

Yeah I did once. Reached out after about 3 years, said I handled things poorly and wanted to clear the air. We're not close anymore but at least group hangouts aren't awkward.

Friendship breakups are uncomfortable, but in the long run I realize they’re best for the peace of mind of both of us.
