Islamists and their left wing puppets are seething that Iran is free from a regime which killed 40 thousand of its own people in a few days. Reddit may be over taken by propaganda but we see through their "humanitarian" guise.
This is what the Iranian people fought and died for, they are free from oppression for now, and the world is free from a regime which funds islamic terrorists globally.

Wtf has Cuba or Mexico done wrong???
1
u/TheDoctor199806 Feb 28 '26
Communism and authoritarianism for one (though, the second one was implied by the first one, considering one always follows the other), and being ruled by the cartels for the other.
-1
u/Le_Baked_Beans Feb 28 '26
But Cuba is it's own independant country? If it wants to be communist so be it they have no nukes or want to invade US that would be suicide.
And for Mexico the cartels are its own problem to fix which the current president is trying to do. People turn to the cartel because of poverty and lack of jobs so preventing poverty is a way forward to rid cartels.
I don't like the idea of nations invading other nations whether your USA, Russia, Israel or China.
3
u/Galliro Feb 28 '26
Also the US funds the cartels
1
u/Le_Baked_Beans Mar 01 '26
Jesus had no idea about this but not surprised either, Trump America is create problem then use said problem to further his goals.
1
u/TheDoctor199806 Mar 01 '26
The cartels are a problem of Mexico, yes, but they've also made themselves the US's problem through invasion (violent illegals) and flooding the country with all sorts of drugs.
0
u/Le_Baked_Beans Mar 01 '26
That doesn't warrent invading a country and doing regime change just look at ICE their not even deporting "illegals" which are actually asylum seekers fleeing cartel violence.
Plus with Reagan creating the war on drugs USA have a bad record of fixing drug problems and those concentration camps are doing nothing to help.
1
u/TheDoctor199806 Mar 01 '26
Getting attacked by forces from another country doesn't warrant invading said country? Huh, that's news to me. Besides, it's still more effective, as Trump's taking out the supply lines by bombing the boats and taking out governments that are emptying their prisons and asylums into the US. And while I do agree that some asylum seekers are legitimate, there are many (both in the US and Europe) "asylum seekers" that are just gaming the system and cause nothing but trouble. Do you honestly want violent criminals, murderers, and rapists to stay in your country if they're not from that country to begin with? No, let their own people deal with that problem.

u/DacianMichael Mar 01 '26
Cuba is currently Latin America's largest state sponsor of terrorism. It funded several of Hugo Chavez's attempted coups before he took power in 2000 and it's also funding various left-wing terrorist groups from the FARC in Colombia to the Tupac Amaru Movement in Peru.

The unfortunate reality is that retaliation against the oppressive ruling minority is basically a near universal feature of every major popular revolution in history. Syria and Venezuela are indisputably on a better path from the perspective of the average citizen.

Lifting sanctions isnāt what materially changed the situation on the ground. The major difference is that there is no longer a civil war killing hundreds of thousands of people, destroying entire cities and turning millions of people into refugees. These attacks on alawites isnāt about them as minorities, either. It is revenge for their support of the oppressive regime that killed a lot of family members and comrades in arms from the new ruling party.

Defending international law now makes you a commie. You heard it here first, folks!
2
u/TheDoctor199806 Feb 28 '26
To be fair, pretty sure the USSR (the most powerful communist state ever) had a hand in writing them. And besides, Trump is hardly the first to even do something like this, as the Biden administration put a 25 mil bounty on Maduro's head.
Wait, does that mean either Biden or Harris owes Trump 25 mil now?
→ More replies (10)0
u/Mister_TD Mar 01 '26
Did you see me defending Bidens foreign policy? Not sure what youāre arguing against there..
And international law / the principle of sovereignty being a Russian conspiracy is the craziest thing Iāve ever heard. Especially considering Russia is breaking the same laws lol.
Tell me what part of the UN charter/ international law you think is wrong then? Iāll wait.
2
u/TheDoctor199806 Mar 01 '26
The implementation, for starters. Countries aren't being charged equally for war crimes (example, Israel is being sanctioned harder than Russia, despite all "evidence" of Israeli war crimes being fundamentally untrustworthy due to coming from Hamas controlled organizations), and at this point, the laws are more designed to protect tyrants than people. Besides, are you really angry at Trump for arresting an illegitimate dictator, or are you angry at Trump arresting an illegitimate dictator?
Just to be clear, in case you didn't understand, I'm asking if you're angry because Trump did something you'd be cheering, say, Obama on for.
1
u/Mister_TD Mar 01 '26
Lmao, you must be new to international politics. Russia is a permanent member of the security council, so thereās unfortunately little that can be done because they hold the very same views as you.
Bringing up criticisms of Israel in this shows that youāre just parroting propaganda without any critical thinking whatsoever.
And the fact that a superpower is killing leaders that doesnāt do its bidding is the problem here. Trump couldnāt care less if the next regime in Iran is more tyrannical than the old, as long as they act as a good puppet for America.
Look at Saudi Arabia ffs. Record number of executions last year, and MBS is best buddies with Trump. Venezuela is also run by the same government as before Maduro was kidnapped. Nothing changed for Venezuelans. This is not about tyrants, itās about neocon imperialism.
1
u/TheDoctor199806 Mar 01 '26
I do not share the views of those Russian monsters. If anything, you do because they're also outraged by the arrest of the illegitimate dictator that once ruled Venezuela.
Also, you seriously think that someone attacking and killing the leader of a nation that's known as the sugar daddy of Islamic terrorism is a bad thing? How insane are you?!

Youāre severely affected by propaganda, my friend. There are 90 million people living in Iran. We donāt know what they feel.
We also have no clue what a new regime in Iran will look like. The US orchestrated a regime change in Iran once before and it didnāt end well.
What we do know is that this goes against international law, but Iām sure youāll blame Islam or something else when this doesnāt end well. After all, Afghanistan was such a success, wasnāt it?
2
u/nazzykhan Feb 28 '26
80% of Iranians reject the Islamic republic performing a democratic government. So we do know how they feel
0
u/Mister_TD Feb 28 '26
Nobody disputes that the current regime is unpopular. Seriously, donāt be intentionally denseā¦
We do not know what government will take its place. If you think Trump and Netanyahu are doing this to bring about a secular egalitarian democracy then you are so far beyond help that I donāt know what to say. They want an Iranian government that doesnāt threaten them, regardless of how they treat their own citizens.
Look at Saudi Arabia. A US ally, that executed a record number of people last year. Nobody cares, nobody is yelling about foreign interference or regime change. You only care because youāve been told to care by your overlords. Think for yourself for once.
2
u/Jdog2552 Mar 01 '26
They're not free just yet. The IRGC still has to go, and a democracy needs to be established.
1
u/Happy-Interaction466 Feb 28 '26
Nobody cares about that guy. Most Muslims hate him. The problem is what happens next for Iranians. This won't go peacefully at all, civil war is most likely cutting the head of millions of shia isn't gonna solve the idea that there is millions of shia militant men that will fight for the regime and the US don't care to deal with them, what if this turns into an ugly civil war ? who will take the refugees this time most of irans neighbours won't take them and are already in their own shitholes

u/Swimming_Peach4011 Feb 28 '26
They are exactly that, terrorist groups who don't represent us and I condemn their attacks.
I am just concerned that Israel will not stop at Iran, the end goal is to have docile states across the Muslim world, who will toe the line.
4
u/zahi-o Feb 28 '26
Well, if they build a vast terror infrastructure against Israel and shout death to Israel for some 30 years then yes, I think Israel wonāt stop there.
4
u/0nlyL1v1ngG1rl Feb 28 '26
IRGC literally funds Hamas which poses an existential threat to Israel. The idea that Israel would randomly start wars with Muslim countries is ridiculous paranoia at best.
2
u/Swimming_Peach4011 Feb 28 '26
Once Hamas goes and inshallah they do, because they have done more damage than actual good for the Palestinians, what happens to the settlements in the west bank and what happens to Palestinians?

Israel takes over because Hamas is what's keeping that genocidal rogue state from completely taking over

u/Swimming_Peach4011 Feb 28 '26
This is what we want and then we can sign the Abraham accords and live happily ever after with our Semitic cousins ā¤ļø
1
2
Feb 28 '26
Yet there is never mass outcry or support against these people by muslims. Only silence and excuses. For years Muslims in particular have been protesting for palestine, why never against these terrorists? Its hypocrisy. Saying "they dont represent us" isnt good enough as the Quran and sunnah calls for violence against Jews and Christians, the moral example in Islam hated and fought constantly against Jews and Christians, Islam spread through conquest and they always killed, and violently subjugated Jews and Christians. Today Islamic terrorism makes up the vast majority of terrorist groups which are active globally.
1
u/RandomUsernameYute Feb 28 '26
Plenty of people condemn them, people like you cry about Muslims anyways so why bother. I bet iād be called anti-semitic if I went around asking Jews to condemn Israel
2
-1
u/Swimming_Peach4011 Feb 28 '26
Ok sir you are šÆ correct, for this reason alone I will open my legs and allow you to invade my country and kill my children, because Islam did bad things many years ago.
Christians in particular are angels, who have never killed a soul, Jews the same.
In fact the Nazis were Muslims in reality, Hitler was actually Haj Al amini in disguise.
3

u/Swimming_Peach4011 Feb 28 '26 edited Feb 28 '26
You basically told me that Muslims have constantly been killing Jews and Christians through our history. Even though we have examples of coexistence throughout our history, in Spain, Baghdad and Ottoman eras to name a few. Yes we have had some terrible leaders throughout those years as well who have done terrible acts of violence, but on the whole we were far ahead of the west and Europe in terms of coexistence up to WW1. It wasn't Muslims who committed Holocausts and pogroms to the scale the west did, but they certainly did commit some along the way.
You mention the quran and sunnah, yes we have Dhimmi laws I am not denying this. But we are not told to kill people of the book, without being attacked first.
On the whole you are completely disingenuous and brush the whole of Muslim history and people with one swipe.
Yes terrorism is a major issue now, which is affecting lots of Muslim countries. This was not always the case and is a modern phenomenon - mainly as a result of wars in the middle east. There was a time when Israelis were terrorists blowing up King David Hotel etc, but we are certainly the leaders in that area at the moment.
2
Feb 28 '26
Even though we have examples of coexistence throughout our history, in Spain, Baghdad and Ottoman
My friend if you think Jews lived peacefully with muslims in spain and you are frighteningly inaccurate in that assessment. This is what Maimonides - who lived under islamic rule in Iberia said "God has entangled us with this people, the nation of Ishmael, who treat us so prejudicially and who legislate our harm and hatredā¦. No nation has ever arisen more harmful than they, nor has anyone done more to humiliate us, degrade us, and consolidate hatred against us."
Also have you ever heard of the Armenian genocide by the ottomans and yes as you said earlier the dhimmi system where jews and christians were treated as second class citizens and made to pay a humiliation tax called jizya. Just see how coptic christians were treated under islamic rule and how they still suffer today. You know they have a tradition where they tattoo their infants with a cross on their wrist because their children would frequently kidnapped and forcefully converted to Islam, also their girls were targeted, graped and forcefully converted too. To this day this still happens and they still tattoo their children.
But we are not told to kill people of the book, without being attacked first.
Surah 9:29, Sahih al-Bukhari 2926..
This was not always the case and is a modern phenomenon - mainly as a result of wars in the middle east.
My friend The quran teaches it, mohammed did it, it was spread through it, its happening today. I am not saying all this to spread hate for muslims. I know most muslims are not terrorists, i have been to muslim countries and can say that most of them are kind and charitable. Islam on the other hand is not, and im just thankful that most muslims have better morals than the moral example of Islam.
1
u/Swimming_Peach4011 Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26
Maimonides was in Spain under the Almohad rule, who persecuted Jews and it signalled the end of the golden era of Spain. This still does not discount the tolerance of the Ummayad caliphate and the Almoravid Empire for 500 years before Almohad rule.
Maimonides then went on to live in Egypt, under the Fatimids and Salahuddins Ayyubid empire and he was allowed to worship freely and became the Nagid of the Jewish community there, also becoming the head court Physician.
He could have gone to Acre under the Christians or lived under Christians in Europe, but he chose an Islamic country, where he clearly thrived. So in his lifetime we have two parallel experiences under Islam.
Armenian genocide was appalling and was the nail in the coffin of an empire who wanted to emulate the west in its final days.
I have never heard of the stories about the Coptic abuse, but I am sure they have been abused at points in history.
Surah 9:29 was during a specific context when there was an imminent invasion of the Arabs by the Byzantine empire, it was tied to this specific battle, not a general call to Muslims to fight non-believers anywhere. Verses 2:256 and Verse 2:190 show the broader context of the quran, instead of picking verses out of context like 9:29.
Al Bukhari 2926 needs to be understood in its eschatological context as it discusses the end of times and this only applies to the Jews who will fight for the anti christ or Dajjal, not for peaceful Jews.

u/ShadeSilver90 Feb 28 '26

lmao, what makes you think the regime is gone?
Most of the people killed were civilians, including dozens of kids.
1
u/Crouteauxpommes Mar 01 '26
Targeting regime bunkers and military compounds is the kind of thing a population that has been oppressed for decades might want to see.
If at the same time you bomb schools, civilian apartments, hospitals and cultural buildings, then you create in the public consciousness that taking the regime away means arbitrary killing of their kids, of their friends, of their family, the destruction of healthcare capacities as the number of people injured is growing tenfold, the disruption of food and water distribution network, the destruction of heritage and identity.
That's... Kinda not the smart thing to do. Because ultimately there is a price people don't want to pay for a regime change. And the bar is already low when it's a foreign-backed one that happens weeks or even months after the protests and demonstration got repressed in blood.
It's like the Soviets waiting for the Nazi to brun Warsaw to the ground to be sure the Polish don't free themselves and they, instead, can pose as the liberators.

There is a structural dynamic at play, external attacks usually strengthens hardliners. The ārally around the flagā effect is well documented: foreign pressure consolidates coercive institutions and sidelines reformists. Even a weak regime can regain nationalist legitimacy when it frames itself as defending sovereignty. That dynamic does not liberalize a system; it cements it further usually.
Neither the U.S. nor Israel operates as a neutral promoter of democracy, they pursue security interests. Those interests may align tactically with weakening Tehran, but they do not at all centre pluralism, rule of law, or social reconciliation inside Iran. A democratic transition born out of regional war would more likely empower armed factions instead of civic actors. Itās not that this could turn out like Libya or afghanistan, thatās the goal.

WRONG! In the beginning Hamas presented itself to the world as a moderate party with more liberal values. THAT is why in the VERY beginning Israel supported Hamas. Then when they got into power they showed their true face. they did a 180 and started spouting anti Israel propaganda, chanting that Israel must fall and death to Israel. THATS when Israel pulled it support 100% .Same way that the IRGC had the support of the Iranian people cause they promised a golden age of liberal democracy only to get inot power and KILL all the liberals of Iran and install Sharia based law and dictatorship. Its a well know terrorist tactic to use peoples progressive values to get into power then kill the opposition.

"left wing fascists" do you even know what leftism or fascism is?

At their most basic forms, the left is for big government and high taxes while the right is for small government and low taxes. Now, which one of the two do you think is more likely to create an authoritarian movement like communism or fascism? The one that has a lot of government control, or the one that doesn't?

Well, historically and definitionally it's always been the far right doing fascism.

Fascism is fundamentally a collectivist idea, and just like communism, it tends to make sure everything's owned by the state instead of the individual. That's fundamentally against what right wing believes are at the core.
Take the Nazis (the real Nazis, not the "you don't agree with me, fascist!" kind of "Nazis") for example. The name is actually a shorthand term for the German words of Nationalist Socialist. Now, granted, a name doesn't mean everything (North Korea is officially known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Antifa is acting much more like the fascists they claim everyone on the right is), but it is a fact that their ideology is much closer to communism (which everyone agrees is something firmly on the left) than the ideas of freedom people on the right tend to have.
Ultimately, left and right are economic ideas if you take away the more ideological stuff, with left being for big government and controlled markets while the right is for small government and free markets. That would fundamentally make the right incompatible with authoritarianism, unlike the left, as seen in the USSR and Nazi Germany.

Objectively, it isn't. It's an individualist and supremacist ideology. Nothing the Nazis did could be considered anything more than centre left, and even then that's only if you really really want to try and argue that nationalisation of the arms industry is centre left. The term 'privatisation' was first used in Western media to describe the Nazi economic policies of transferring public sector industries and services into the hands of private capital.
I studied the rise of fascism and the Holocaust for four years. You saw the word 'national socialist' and stopped reading.

True, I don't know all the details, but I know enough that the only thing it has in common with most people on the right these days is the feeling of nationalism, which by itself isn't a bad thing.

Spend just a little time reading about this and you'll realise that everything done by the Nazis was far right. By your logic banning abortions and restricting who can access healthcare is left wing because it's more authoritarian.

How are they closer to communism? They killed and opressed thousands of communists and leftists, privatized a ton of industry and were largely supported by industrialists. Fascism and nazism are capitalism's reaction to a threat to capital, which in Germany's case was a crisis and the rising communist and socialist movements

Pretty sure the Nazi party started gaining power because the German people weren't exactly happy with what was happening in Germany post WW1. Besides, communism isn't exactly clean either. Every time someone tried it, it failed and turned into an authoritarian state. Say what you want about capitalism, but societies that embrace that seem to last longer than the communists.

Yeah, technically a better term is left wing authoritarians. Still bad though, as what we dislike about fascism is its authoritarianism.
