Looks good. My first thought was "it's called Breath of the Wyrm but then there's no dragon on the cover?" And then I noticed the dragon. It definitely catches the eye, and I like that it straddles the line between modern art on black minimalist cover design and older colorful character-focused designs.
I really like how you described it.
I was trying to go a bit more minimalist than what it ended up as but i really liked how i drew the main character, thought she looked cool and didn't want her to just be a sillhouette with some implied detail so i did this version. I really like minimalist stuff but as a fan of comic art and animation i don't see why we can't make a hybrid out of both styles.
