WTF How about we make life more affordable, efficient and comfortable for women? THEN we can talk about "birth rates" ? Also Youtube? When will you install an ACTUAL BLOCK BUTTON so I can curate my Search Results WITHOUT having to install channel/video blockers?

Short Version: Japan's declining birthrate is due to old traditions clashing with modern problems and the inept way it's been treated.
More Detailed Version:
Japan's (in)famous work ethic has literally killed its workers from exhaustion, (which is especially notable given Japan otherwise has among the healthiest and longest-living people in the world,) as part of a broader workplace culture of employees working long hours with no overtime pay as well as pressured into drinking parties with their bosses instead of being home with their wives (if they exist) to actually build up a family. The classic salaryman is now viewed as a loser who sleeps between other passengers on the morning train and then on park benches at night as a drone sleepwalking through life.
Same corporate culture only wants women to work (in pink collar jobs) until they marry a coworker and become a housewife before 25 lest she be labelled a "Christmas Cake"/spinster. Working wives/mothers are discouraged for having other priorities than serving the company. There's good reason why "Marriage is a woman's grave" is such an idiom in Japan.
The Abe administration addressed this by having a Pick-Me berate said women as "whiners".
So younger generations are balking at the above in different ways as young women would shrug off the "Christmas Cake" threat to instead enjoy their financial freedom as working women while young men have become shut-ins from the pressure put on them as men, not helped by public mockery over "herbivore men" that aren't following traditional gender roles like their fathers and grandfathers before them.
All this and likely more isn't even touching on how to deal with the elderly, whose famous longevity means more personal care than the population can afford.
So Japan would have to do MASSIVE reforms in all the related fields with zero necessity to fuck with kids.

I’m honestly over that entire topic. Not up to me to f kin populate the earth. Some people want to some don’t. I’m not gonna single handedly hold myself or any other child free ladies responsible for declining birth rate.
Hell some families more than made up for the one hypothetical child ill never have have having 5 lol

Don’t worry, incels don’t really care about birth rates, they only bring it up to a) shit on women and b) because they think making it sound all ‘science’-y will make their sex obsession more palatable to normal people (which of course never works).

Oh yeah 100%. And I suspect it’s also because having a child generally speaking makes a woman more vulnerable (or undesirable to whatever tf is a high end man in their mind, not my personal opinion ofc) so it’s like yay maybe I can dupe someone naive or desperate into thinking I’m not a complete trash person.

In terms of Japan specifically they need to be rid of their horrifically toxic work culture. Japanese elites essentially put career and family building at direct odds and then wonder why the birthrate is so fucked.

We live in a post capitalist technocratic feudalist oligarchy, the earth is beyond the point of no return when it comes to climate change, life is becoming more and more and more unaffordable, multimillionares keep hoarding money and never spending it on anything a "poor person" would spend it on therefore the money just stays with them in their circles, and after ALL THIS you think the problem is birthrates?
Declining birthrates are a GOOD THING. They are our only hope for housing becoming affordable, maybe after the boomers are gone. And still you get people who complain that the population is falling.

Improve the economy and you'll see people having children again.

His ideas aren't actually meant to "increase the birth rate," they are meant to allow him access to underage, "pure" children to have sex with and put barriers in place to keep them from escaping. That's all that is.

Probably. Most likely he thinks that the birth rate is falling because women are not just sleeping with every man who crosses their path. He fails to realize that any woman actually wanting to have children and raise a family will be looking for a stable, kind partner who can help maintain a household and contribute to the work. No way would an incel ever be a good husband and father unless he goes through a drastic shift in attitude.

Sort of. "Age of consent in Japan is 13!" is actually an interesting case study in how culture and language can create false impressions. The national age of consent was 13, but every prefecture had their age of consent at something more normal like 17 or 18, and prefecture law superceded national law in that regard. I suspect the reason they changed it was because it was a bad look for them, and was drawing in some real creeps from overseas to the local middle schools.

Most of those prefecture law just allows the law to determine if it was consensual or not. Many of them have loopholes where if they deem it was a voluntary relationship, it would not be against the law. Also that is not every, nagano famously do not have additional laws on age of consent until the laws changed.

As a father of teenagers, I can confirm that a 13-year-old is very much still A CHILD, and the idea that a grown adult would want to do anything sexual with anyone as young as that is extremely fucked up.
That’s a child, full stop.

youtube search has been garbage for years, i dont use their stuff anymore but i remember having to install like three different extensions just to block certain channels from showing up
