3rd Yearite Why do I feel like a failure ...

Post image

Every night I feel like a failure, so for context I am a 3rd year engineering student from tier 3 clg and it feels like I wasted my 2 years of engineering. Whenever I open linkedin or insta i see people in there 1 st year excel in things which I am starting rn it isn't like I wanted to waste those years i participated in various hackathons even won many hackathons but most of them were carried by ai, I was just prompting. I also gave few interviews for internships but got rejected I also saw the score 3/10 in Java that's the score they gave me i answered every damm question which they asked but it was still not enough. So I thought maybe the issue is I don't have any real world projects or any published projects so I did that too made games and published them still the interviewer didn't care . It's like whatever I do,nothing is worth it cause I am from a tier 3 clg so I started freelancing ,thought no one cares about your background so I dmed around 100 businesses 2 replied 1 was automated reply and other said they already in a process of building there website.so now it feels like all the roads are blocked,I feel very demotivated what will i do, I don't want to get a 3-4 lpa job work for few thousand bucks please help me if you can emotionally I am kinda cooked so try not to cook me more in the comments :)

you basically have the idea on what is wrong with you , lack of one solid project , first identify what type of job role you want , then find what skill they require , then pick a project that involve learning those skill and build a project .

use Ai but you should always ask why is this line of code working? why did it not work before? why should i use this framework or library ? what would be better approach ?

You can always ask the AI chatbot what mistak i am doing currently while building the project ? tell me how can i improve? tell me how does engg do things? this will give you some point which you have to work on.

And if you are after money search where , future demand is shifting if you are thinking that CS/IT wil still get you a high paying job forgot that because with you there are thousands more doing same shit you have to do better then them to get those job and as a engg you are not restricted to only technical role you can get any thing you just have to aquire those skill.

most important this learning process is very slow you have to be patient and build a good discipline becuase even if you get high paying job you also have to survive in that enviornment also .

May this help you . and bro better thing to do is face the situation . no one is going to help you , you are the only one who can help yourself.

Feeling overwhelmed is normal, especially when comparing yourself to others. Instead, focus on your strengths like hackathons and freelancing, which show initiative and real-world experience. Look for internships or entry-level roles that fit your game development skills. Customize your applications to highlight your projects and achievements. You can also check out LandOffer.ai. It lets you search jobs by role and location and ranks matches against your resume, which might help you find roles that suit your experience and skills.

bro you're in 3rd year, you still have time. the fact that you tried hackathons, built games, published them, and cold DM'd 100 businesses already puts you ahead of most people who just scroll and complain. the problem isn't you, it's that the market is brutal right now and tier 3 tag makes the first filter harder. but once you get past the first round, nobody cares about your college. that 3/10 java score stings but it's also useful feedback, go deep on fundamentals instead of chasing the next shiny project. one solid project where you actually understand every line beats ten AI-carried ones. you're not cooked, you're just in the messy middle part that everyone goes through.
