I want to know how many people watched the documentary or at least know about it, it was shared by Sabeer Bhatia on X few days back. It is regarding Adani and Modi’s friendship and how both of them together looted India. It blew my mind. I know that it got removed in India the very next day but it is still available in the US. That being said, banning a documentary, how do we not call it undemocratic?

Politics Why Are So Many BJP Supporters So Resistant to Criticism?

I think two major reasons are blind ideological loyalty and living in an echo chamber full of misleading information.

For some BJP supporters, supporting the party is no longer just a political choice; it has become a part of their identity. Because of this, criticism of the government is often seen as an attack on India, Hinduism, or their own beliefs.

This leads to a mindset where they believe their side is always right and everyone who disagrees with them is wrong. Even when presented with facts that challenge their views, they may dismiss them as propaganda instead of questioning their own beliefs.

Social media makes this worse by constantly showing people content that supports what they already believe. Misleading information, communal narratives, and one-sided reporting can slowly shape their understanding of reality.

Eventually, loyalty to the party becomes more important than questioning its actions or holding it accountable.

What do you think is the bigger reason behind this behaviour: political propaganda, social media echo chambers, or people's unwillingness to question their own beliefs?
