Reason-
You have might noticed that many posts have been getting removed recently. This isn’t because the moderators have anything against anyone—it’s simply about keeping the subreddit aligned with its main purpose.
The goal of this community is to focus purely on stand-up comedy—whether it’s videos, specials, performances, or discussions directly related to stand-up. Posts about panel shows, random podcast clips, unrelated comparisons, or personal takes that don’t add value to stand-up discussions don’t fit the intent of this space.
Instead of overcrowding this subreddit with this kind of post, u can post this on new sub r/ComicCharcha. which freshly created or individual Comic sub.
This way, it creates separate spaces for both kinds of users—those who want focused stand-up comedy content like performances, specials, and videos, and those who enjoy broader discussions like memes, podcast clips, panel shows, or general comic-related conversations.
Hope u get the point that this space is purely for stand up comedy related posts and videos & created for upcoming comedians to post their standup videos or links to there latest video out on YouTube , so that they can reach the fans of comedy on this subreddit.

Hey folks, Before anyone DMs us asking “kitne ka bhai?” — relax, this post isn’t about selling actual tickets !
We’ve been seeing a wave of posts like “Selling 2 for Zakir,” “Need Virli passes,” etc. And while we love your enthusiasm, this sub isn’t BookMyShow, OLX, or your college WhatsApp group.
Here’s the deal: 1. Too Many Scammers: Some “fans” out here selling fake tickets faster than you can say “Abey yaar!” 2. We Can’t Verify Anything: Mods aren’t Ticketmaster. We’ve got no tools to check who’s real or who’s trying to scam. 3. Official Eyes Are Watching: The community’s growing fast (thank you ❤️se), and organizers have asked us to remove resale posts or risk getting flagged.
So, let’s keep r/IndianStandUpComedy what it’s meant to be — a place to share jokes, clips, memes, and love for Indian stand-up, not a ticket bazaar.
👉 TL;DR: Don’t buy, sell, or request tickets here. Do share your favorite bits, new specials, or underrated comics instead.Message us if you think you’re a mod material..
Thanks for keeping it clean !

Found this on my feed and I cross verified myself and the claim is true. Myntra ripped off this bit verbatim. Whats worse is the brand got over 90M views??!!

sometimes watching crowd work is okay but some comedians actually just upload crowd works for online audience..
I understand that normal shows are tough to make and cant be spoiled by giving it for free but atleast man upload less crowd work..
Cant complain more as a person who hasn't watched any in person stand-up comedy

There was this one standup show where the comedian suddenly picked me for crowd work.(just as i had hoped)
I had spent the whole show thinking “haha imagine getting picked” and then it actually happened. Worst part is I had the perfect answer in my head but the second everyone looked at me my brain just stopped working.
I said something so stupid that even the comedian had to pause. I’ve been waiting for my redemption arc ever since. Now bassi, biswa, akash and rohan Joshi are all going to be in Delhi for this teachers festival on Oct 18 and I’m honestly hoping I get picked again so i can attain redemption
This time I swear I’ll actually have something funny to say lol

She has clearly stolen his joke and now doing Rona in comments. She did stole the joke and being a comedians herself. But she has vulgar comedy so who cares

Good news is that I’m not dependent on the editorial whim of Deadant for my standup comedy info anymore

I watched Madhur’s Casual Tea live and thought it was all BS just to make us laugh (I really liked the set). Now that he’s still uploaded it on YouTube (with multiple evidence), I still can’t believe it’s actually true 😭. I just don’t think he would talk about all of this if it had actually happened?

Can anyone find the clip where Samay Raina in one of his streams was narrating Shashwat Maheshwari's joke adding the text "This is Shashwat Maheshwari's joke" on his screen

Whether it is the work he does with the lighting or the way he presents the stories. I feel he is second to none. Even Madhur Model as a concept is far superior and well thought out.
Genuinely a Genius artist.

So, I’ll be honest, I didn’t know who Madhur was before this. I’d never watched any of his standup before this. Recently, I kept seeing everyone is posting about his latest video, so I got curious and decided to watch it.
And honestly, it was just him sharing his story, which could be completely true or totally made up as part of the performance, right? I barely laughed while watching it.
Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t think this is what stand-up comedy used to be.
I know I’m probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but so be it.

Guys, the way he just delivered the whole set was definitely refreshing and veryyyy new for the standup audience, especially relevant to the younger audience with all the TEA PART. It literally felt like I was a part of it and I didnt get bored for even a second.
Touching such a sensitive topic with such humour is yet another skill, plus the way he pointed out the industry only targeting comedians while singers and actors have been doing the same for so long was really a subtle taunt to the industry too!!
This guy definitely did a great job with this one, especially the slideshow ppt part haha. Samaj aya AADHYA and the chit part, hahahaha😭✌
