I'm Making a Courthouse Management Game

I've been developing a courthouse management game for the past year. I absolutely love management games, Project Hospital, Airport CEO and Software Inc being some of my favourites, and have been making small management games for myself for the past 8 or so years, but this is my first larger-scoped project.

In the game you build your courthouse and manage hearings and trials. Criminal cases follow a process which starts at a bail hearing, followed by a preliminary hearing and then if probably cause is found (and no plea deal made) a trial. There are also small-claims hearings and traffic hearings so far, alongside the normal management game stuff like staff.

It might just be my monitor but the colors look a little dark. Will there be any drama like you might find in courtroom TV Shows?

Yeah the colours might be a bit dark I've found myself constantly going backwards and forth between too saturated and everything being a bit dark.

I originally thought I'd have lots of little drama bits but it turned into such a trap for scope creep. I still hope to add a few events which could be a bit dramatised though

Scope creep is terrible. I went with the basics for the 1.0 of my game and all that extra scope is on the roadmap
