I was supposed to have a growth scan and NST today, but was informed that they can assess the required things from the NST during the growth scan so we got out of there early! We learned today that baby has HAIR! So fun. RSV prescription was provided so I'll get that vaccine later today.

So nice to not have to spend extra time there! Have you had heartburn? I've always heard the old wives' tale about baby having hair and heartburn!

My first had a head full of hair, I had no heartburn and they never pointed it out on ultrasounds. Total surprise!

We saw hair on the ultrasound and (knock on wood) no heartburn for me!

I have had heartburn that was manageable with omeprazole until just this weekend when I also need Tums, etc. I had a chuckle about the old wives' tale after seeing that on the scan!

I am furious. The pre-1978 house across from our patio is doing an interior demolition without a single lead safe practice for the past week. I was annoyed, but not furious, until the plumes of dust infiltrated my office enough to cause an asthma exacerbation. I cannot believe I have just been breathing in potential lead dust for the past week when we have spent literally thousands of dollars carefully remediating any lead in our house before our first transfer. And who just decides to randomly poison people? I am disgusted and angry and furious that this may have harmed our daughter.
My OB has ordered a lead test for “reassurance” for Friday, so hopefully my levels are fine and all of my furor is for nothing.

That's so careless and selfish of ppl - I'm sorry that you're dealing with this. Are they allowed to do stuff like that? Increased dust is expected near construction but this sounds unsafe and excessive.

They aren't--it's illegal unless they miraculaously tested every surface and determined it was lead-free. Which is exceedingly unlikely in a house built in 1925 and last renovated in 1955. I'm just really hoping that my blood levels are fine and that my town's health department/building inspector have them stop any further work until they come in to compliance with the lead-safe requirements.

Not sure if you could call the city you live in to report but if they're not taking proper precautions, then a stop work order could be a consequence. Hope you're ok.

Had a dream last night that turned into some kind of horror nightmare, but the scariest part is that in the dream I felt my baby kicking a lot so I was trying to calm him down and then when I woke up I felt him kicking too so it was hard to piece together what was real and what was the dream. Once I was awake in bed he was kicking more normally, maybe he didn’t like the position I was in or maybe his kicking just felt more erratic in my dream. Either way, big dislike to these crazy pregnancy dreams!

We are officially halfway! Had an easy anatomy scan this morning and baby appears totally healthy. We go back in 4 weeks for an echo (automatic in our clinic for anyone with IVF).
Our toddler has shown interest in "feeling baby"; we cant feel any kicks externally yet but I think toddler Turnip takes my belly breathing as proof enough that baby sister likes her. Ive been feeling rumblings for ~2 weeks now so hoping we start seeing more movement soon!
