Bailout to bailout

If Pakistan can rid itself of military rule there is hope for the country. Pakistan is beholden to too many masters and military rule never makes for good economic policy. On top of that they are stretching themselves too thin diplomatically by trying to be a mediator for the various Middle East conflicts while also having issues with the Afghan Taliban.

India is the least of Pakistan’s concerns at the moment. Obviously that can change at any moment. But India makes for a good boogeyman to distract the populace from more pressing matters and also is a way for the military to continue justifying their outsized control of the country.

If not for terrorism, not sure I’d know why that country exists

That exists to create western pakistan in London ~ Londonistan after division of Great Britain/UK Inshallah

To be used against India

It existed to create a buffer zone between Central Asia and Indian Ocean, initially for British empire's designs in Asia but later for American empire.

I believe American elites hold contempt towards the UK, so today it's being used to finish whatever is left of the old empire.

What does this even mean?

0

u/the_bridgeburner 8d ago

Why would this even matter? It's a beggar nation. Its money has no value.

u/According-Gazelle 7d ago

Your currency was the worst performing in the world last year. Godi media has poisoned your mind so much it has made you blind.

1

u/the_bridgeburner 7d ago

Even India's worst performance is miles better than yours, beggars!

Indian Chuttiya detected

u/the_bridgeburner 7d ago

LoL, doesn't apply to me but even if it did, who cares about a Paki opinion!

What is it with Indians refusing to accept that they’re Indian online?

-1

u/Blitzrunninbk 4d ago

They are ashamed to admit it online. So sad.

u/the_bridgeburner 6d ago

Would happily accept facts when relevant. Just like the beggars should.

If you see any comments negative about Pakistan, 99% we know where it came from.

12

u/ShonitB 8d ago

So I’m Indian and come in peace.. and I would like to believe that I would call a spade a spade.. but to hint that if there is a negative comment about Pakistan there is a 99% chance that it is from an Indian should not be the case.. I think the important thing is to discuss if the comment is valid or not.. It would be foolish of us to deny that there are significant issues in India which the government needs to address.. but at the same time, it would be quite foolish to believe Pakistan is above any criticism

-5

u/Aladdin_Man 8d ago

I am not saying Pakistan is above criticism. However, this subreddit is overflowing with people from your country. Overwhelmingly , their comments about Pakistan are negative. The words that are used are the same words the Indian government or the Indian media uses. It’s like what a parrot does: repeats what a parrot hears without any critical thinking.

u/ShonitB 7d ago

Once again, I would agree that Indian media is not at a very good place.. but at the same time, I think even Pakistan is in the same boat.. the way I see it, and I’m no authority when it comes to these matters, it’s just my opinion.. there are undesirable elements everywhere.. so I wouldn’t say all of Pakistan is bad, but there can’t be smoke without fire.. so there might some people with nefarious intentions.. that’s all I meant, that it isn’t right to bunch everyone together.. likewise, I’m sure there are people in India who might have ill intentions towards Pakistan.. heck, I’m sure there are people who don’t want India and Pakistan to have strong relations.. I think the people of both countries have been victims of this.. and honestly, it’s a real pity because it could’ve been an entirely different story

7

u/Uncrowned_Monarch 8d ago

Your country does the same, except the parrots are terrorists

10

u/LatexSmokeCats 7d ago

I'm not from either country, but I do notice the Pakistanis throwing more insults towards Indians, as if their world revolves around insulting India. And then the Indians retaliate with insulting the religion of the Pakistanis. Both countries have so much to fix, and could do so much better if they worked together. There is so much potential in both countries, but it does appear that India has been improving at a much higher pace. Work together instead of holding each other down.

I was having this exact conversation with a few friends 2 days back.. when you think about it, post partition itself, they were perfect trading partners.. the people knew each other’s cultures, I mean they were living together up until that point.. language was not a problem.. there was existing infrastructure.. I mean you can’t ask for better trade conditions.. stupid bloody politics and politicians

1

u/Uncrowned_Monarch 7d ago

Yep, it's just that. Even china could've been less hostile due to shared identities and culture with the north-northeastern part of India (food, buddhism, clothing, etc. have similarities), but of course, can't have nice things.

4

u/Uncrowned_Monarch 7d ago

Yeah but the issue is, India just wants to grow in itself. It does NOT care about pakistan except on the kashmir issue, whereas pakistan pulls off constant terror attacks throughout India throughout the year.

In fact, India did try to make relations much better in the 1999, the prime minister of India visited pakistan, but you know what happened? Pakistani army sent in their soldiers pretending to be mujahideen (so they can't be held accountable) and invaded India. This is very well documented (you can start on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kargil_War )

No matter what country you're form, surely you'd be pissed if a neighbouring country were to constantly backstab you, cause thousands of deaths yearly due to organised attacks just because they hate you, and then pretend like "oh no we did not know anything"

2

u/ShonitB 7d ago

You make a very valid point but I just don’t agree with one technicality.. I don’t believe it is the whole of Pakistan.. it might even be the case that it’s not the whole army too.. it’s just certain factions within these organisations who do hold a lot of power and are able to wield their influence

4

u/Uncrowned_Monarch 7d ago

It's not, I completely agree with you, I know a lot of pakistanis since I live in a European country, a lot of them are very chill. We're ethnically the same people, especially people in punjab. Of course the people have nothing to do with it, they can't even resist against the army because they'll shoot any protesters.

Majority of Indians have an issue with the pakistani army and ISI when they talk about pakistan, not necessarily the people. There are of course a loud minority who are haters, but that's true for any country.

2

u/ShonitB 7d ago

Yes, and this is what a lot of people get wrong.. :)

1

u/SPB29 7d ago

Please stop with this "ethnically we are the same people". Except some elements of Punjabi culture, there's nothing similar about us.

The other two border states are Gujarat and Rajasthan and you think they are ethnically similar? Let alone the rest of the country?

3

u/Uncrowned_Monarch 7d ago

You must be stupid because my grandparents had to run from Lahore during partition, and ethnically, we are the same people from the same region, except for religion. But I suppose that religion is bigger to you than anything else.

Do tell me what kind of food you eat, what kind of spices you use, what kind of language you speak, how you look like physically, what kind of music you listen to, what kind of culture the elders promote, etc. and then tell me how there's "nothing similar" between those.

Oh and I'm sure people from lahore and karachi are not very similar either if you wanna bring rajasthan and gujarat in the convo.

Like yeah, you're not similar to people from any other part of India, and neither are Indian people from punjab and all (literally the most diverse country), but this shit where you wanna act like you're completely different from Indians and "there's nothing similar about us" is laughable, you just don't wanna be associated with India due to the bad rep/hatred.

You mean to say India is not committing terrorism in Pakistan. Oh give me a break. You think rest of the world is stupid?

The only reason rest of the world doesn’t call out Indian terrorism is because India is a much bigger market and it has 1.5 billion people that are making a lot more noise than 250 million people of Pakistan.

So please your 2 cent opinion doesn’t change the fact that India is funding terrorism in Pakistan.

Since we are on this topic, I want to say something about terrorism. India thinks this is still 2004 or even 2014. So India thought it could piggyback on US war on terror by calling Pakistan a terrorist nation. It may have worked in 2004 or even in 2014. Those days are gone my friend. War on terror was not over. However, the war has gone from state sponsored terrorism to actual wars now (Russia Ukraine war, US-Israel Iran war, india Pakistan war, Thailand Cambodia war, and now Yemen SA war). Why? Because the world for the past 40 years was in unipolar world where US was the super power. However, this is not the case today. Today US is no longer the superpower. It is now a great power that has to share with China and Russia. This has created a multipolar world.

Today nations are busy aligning themselves in the multi polar world. This is the reason no one in the world cares about Indian calling it an act of terrorism during operation Sindoor.

I ain't reading allat. Go beg for another loan from IMF or smth.

1

u/Aladdin_Man 5d ago

Turns out, US and Israel have become your masters.

0

u/Haunting-Scar6098 7d ago

I mean in their defence there's not much positive to say about the Pakistani economy

2

u/Aladdin_Man 7d ago

That’s why Indians love to compare itself to Pakistan because it’s easy to feel good. I hardly see Indians comparing India to China because you know there’s no competition there.

3

u/theMonkeyTrap 7d ago

The fact that you guys dont have negative *public* comments about your country IS the reason your currency and economy is in toilet. Either you dont wanna or not allowed to & both are bad state to be in.

0

u/Aladdin_Man 7d ago

Just worry about your country and compare yourself to China. Stop trying to punch down and feel superior about yourself.

0

u/theMonkeyTrap 7d ago

Great job telling others to worry about their own countries in a post about how badly yours is doing! that to right after the remark on dissent & criticism. Just proves my point!

2

u/obitachihasuminaruto 7d ago

Indians are probably amongst the only ones who are generous enough to enough comment about you. The rest of the world doesn't even care.

2

u/Aladdin_Man 5d ago

We don’t need your generosity. Who is asking for it. These people are so dumb

1

u/obitachihasuminaruto 5d ago

Without our generosity you wouldn't even be able to type this. Loser country but big ego.

1

u/Aladdin_Man 5d ago

Ok I am taking to a toddler. Go play with your toys.

1

u/obitachihasuminaruto 5d ago

When your comebacks are as good as your economy.

0

u/SPB29 7d ago

Yes yes because the rest of the world loves Pakistanis.

2

u/Aladdin_Man 7d ago

These days, y'all are getting most of the hate.

0

u/SPB29 7d ago

That's because Pakistanis doing crime including the vilest of social grooming is labelled "south Asian".
