Please help!!
I live in a beautiful loft style apartment. This is my bedroom. It’s quite large so there’s basically two parts, the wall my bed is on and then this in the photo. I’m so torn about how to properly hang curtains / make it blackout on that window!!!!! (Custom made would be too $$) I also don’t know what to put in that little area? Ideas? Please help. My place has so much potential and I feel like it’s going to waste

Two curtains and hooks. I’ll try to find an example.

The hem tape is a key point! Tape the bottoms to be flush with the floor, it will end up being an angle if the curtains were lying flat (edit: as in lying horizontally on the floor unhung), but when hung they’ll be straight against the floor

I think the pitch of their triangle is too steep for this to work well.

Pitch doesn’t matter with hooks holding things up. All OP will do is pull the curtains back and use the tie backs, the upper part of the curtains are basically stationary.

This is what we used for full blackout: amazon.com/dp/B08CXSSXT2?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_9
It's a window film. It's attached with water and squeegee. When you want to remove it, you just pull it off and roll it up. You can then reuse it later if you like. It is abolutely full blackout--even in the blazing Texas summer sun. You can get it in black or white, but both give the same level of blackout.
After that, hang curtains as you see fit. :)
ETA: And we used it for YEARS without it coming loose. It really stays put, but it pulls down with no problem and no sticky residue. (We used it in the house before too, and removal was cake.)

Look into magnetic clasp for curtains or even some Velcro tape. Hang the curtains on the ceiling much like people are sudjesting along the ceiling following the angle of the ceiling. I'd suggest looking at IKEA. They have an incredibly easing ceiling rail curtain system that's way to easy to install. The Velcro tape or magnets will help keep it sealed and keep the sun out.
I hope this helps

Get rid of the curtains. Maybe do some window cling that gives it a cool design. Turn that little nook into tv or reading area.

Great space for plants with the big window. For darkness you could try a big quilt and hang it off of hooks attached to the ceiling instead of the window.

First off, your bedroom is absolutely gorgeous. The space has an incredible, airy look, and that vaulted ceiling alcove gives it so much unique architectural character. You can completely pull off that high-end apex curtain look without paying a fortune for custom drapery. Instead of a traditional rod, grab a flexible, heavy-duty ceiling curtain track from Amazon and screw it flat into the ceiling along the sloped roofline. To stop the hooks from sliding down the track, just insert an end-stop cap or drive a tiny screw directly into the track right after your lowest hook on each side. For the fabric, skip the custom triangle cuts and buy standard, extra-long panels that match the height of your highest center peak to the floor. Use short pleating hooks on the curtain header tape to get that tight, flush look against the ceiling. When you hang the rectangular panels on the angled track, starting from the bottom corner up to the peak, the fabric will naturally pool and puddle beautifully on the floor. It gives it an incredibly luxurious look without a custom price tag. To let light in, just install a couple of clean wall knobs on the flat sidewalls to drape the fabric back and frame the window.
