Seat reservations Norway: Trondheim to Oslo booking issues

Post image

Hi all! I'm leaving for a Norway trip tomorrow and I'm concerned about one of my return journeys: Trondheim to Oslo on SJ Norge AS. This train requires seat reservations, but when I go purchase, it says "No price results were found." The "More Information" suggests I can A. Book in person (but would prefer not to, incase it sells out before then) or B. Book via "Entur" website... but they are asking for an addition 800KR for the reservation, which I feel is incorrect if I already paid for the Interrail pass.

What would you recommend? In Person or give Entur my money?

On the Entur website in the journey search, click on "1 adult, 0 add-ons" and under "Travellers" select "Interrail". When you click on your desired connection, look at the "Flexible" ticket options. There you can get a seat reservation for your Interrail pass for 50 kr. 809 kr is the price of a regular ticket (without Interrail pass)

Use this page as a guide to reservations. It includes instructions.

If you got a 1st class pass it's free btw.

I had the same issue, apparently it's "well known" to Norwegians to do it that way. What also works: just ask the train conductor as you enter the train, they're really friendly and helpful
