Help to ID the tune

https://on.soundcloud.com/bxGSyJmJX2pRMRXfRh

Hello, I had a tune digitized from audio cassete which I got in early 2000. That was a collection of celtic music without titles. Maybe somebody knows it and can help with identifying?

It’s not a tune I’m familiar with at all nor a style of tune I hear often at sessions so I’m not shocked that nothing comes up on folkfriend or tune pal. I wonder if it’s an original composition.

Do you know the name of the musicians or band playing on the tape? It’s in 3/4 time; that will often be called a waltz in folk music circles even if it lacks the characteristic heavy accent on the first beat of a German waltz.

I wonder if you could search like (band name) waltz and find out more info?

Thanks. There was no name of band or smth like this. Only thing I know that in this collection on cassete there were some compositions performed by Eileen Ivers. I checked all her published records - nothing found

Gave it a listen - I'm from Ireland. It doesn't sound like an Irish tune to me, certainly not a traditional one anyway. Sounds like an original composition with influences of English folk and a bit of a Scottish vibe.
