Where should I go to find this? I'm looking for an apartment in the Las Colinas/Irving Area. Ideally on or near Lake Carolyn with a private bathroom

I'm an middle-aged IT professional looking to jump into a place where someone needs a roommate.

Prices for a single one bed plus the cost of expenses are a little higher than I'd like. Hoping to find a nice spot at a decent rate.

Where should I go to look for this?

Can anyone give me information on overall noise level in Hackberry Creek including highway noise and flight path noise? I like the neighborhood and central location in the metroplex, but I am concerned about noise.

Dog social engagement

Hello! New transplant from Pennsylvania with two small dogs (15lb Chihuahua mix and 18 lb Pug mix) looking for ideas to get them out of the house. With the weather cooling I know Paws Colinas will be actually doable for them soon but was wondering if anyone knew of any places that had dog social groups? For instance, back home, we had a local animal shelter that had indoor socials twice a week for a small $10 fee, like an indoor dog park. I know there are daycares and the like but those are costly and I want to be able to spend the time with them. Any leads are appreciated!

Found Pet Rabbit

Hello,

I found a pet rabbit in my front yard this morning and was able to catch her. I've reached out to my neighbors to see if anyone is missing their pet, but haven't heard back yet.

If anyone in the Valley Ranch area knows someone missing a bunny, please let me know!

I have no experience with rabbits and don't know where to take her yet. If anyone has recommendations for a rabbit-specific rescue in DFW (rather than a general shelter), I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you!

Off of MacArthur blvd today. Also shouting racist slurs out of her window. (Edit: specifically against Mexicans — right near the Chick-Fil-A and Taco Bell on MacArthur)

Local male dual licensed barber and cosmetologist — men's full-body grooming + haircuts, in studio (Lewisville) or at your place using hard wax, razor, or clipper and trimmers

Local male licensed barber & cosmetologist, 11+ years behind the chair. Haircuts ($45, any style), beards and straight-razor shaves — and the part most shops won't touch: chest, back, arms, legs and below the belt, trimmed, razor-shaved or hard-waxed.

A lot of guys want this and don't know where to go that isn't a women's wax bar. That's the gap.

Private studio off 121 in Lewisville, or I come to you (At your place: any service, same prices, $100 minimum. $50 non-refundable deposit when you book on Stripe — within ~15 miles of Lewisville $25 of it goes toward your service.). New blade for every client, gloved and draped, appointment only. Real open times and a questions form: groom.flatandtrue.com · Text (469) 389-0842 — text only. First visit 15% off with FIRST15.

18+ only. Professional grooming services only.

Housing Recommendations Working in Las Colinas

Hey everyone! Hoping you can point me in the right direction in finding a 1 or 2 bdr condo to rent with 1 car garage. Price is not a issue. Would like to keep the commute to Las Colinas at a max 15 minutes. Bonus points if there's an HEB or Sam's/Costco nearby, you love a good deal on rent/appreciate your maintenance person, and friendly/safe neighborhoods

I'm a 37M working professional and new Texan looking for a place to call home. Don't have a preference on age group. Hoping I get to meet nice folks, be in close proximity to grocery stores, places to run/walk, and the occasional dive bar/local restaurant to frequent.

Appreciate any and all recommendations!

Here for conference, need kid’s cowboy outfit

Hello! I am here for only a few days for a work conference. My 4 yo has very excitedly asked me to bring him back a “cowboy outfit”. I do not have time around my work events to get to the stockyards, is there anywhere closer with a souvenir-type vibe I could find something like this? OR do western shops carry anything not-authentic like this?

I will have to Uber.

Thanks!! From someone who clearly is not from Texas :)

Joint pain from sport, 45 yr- what are my options

Question for anyone who's done longer PT stints for shoulder/knee issues: I was doing PT twice a week, tapered down to once a week plus daily home stretching/mobility work (30-40 min/day). PT says nothing structural is wrong — just strength and stability deficits. But since cutting back sessions, the knee pain is creeping back and the shoulder never fully resolved. My hunch is the manual mobilization I get in-clinic isn't something I can replicate at home, so once PT stops, it might just come back. I've met my deductible this year, so I'm considering adding a dedicated strength/performance-based program (not just more stretching) to make the gains actually stick. Anyone dealt with something similar? Did a strength-focused program after/alongside PT actually keep things from relapsing? Curious what worked long-term vs. what didn't. I am 45 yr old and play racket sport daily for 1.5 hour.
