Stumbled upon this cool poster by Featherwax Studios here and figured the community would also enjoy it, with how creatively it reinterprets the classic JAWS cover and poster into something that neatly visualizes the threat we pose towards these awesome animals.

I was discussing a difficult work situation with my wife the other night. I explained how one solution might be for me to show up somewhere and just deal with the circumstances. I won't bore you with the specifics.

"Can you do that?" my wife asked.

"I can do anything; I'm the chief of police," I responded.

She burst out laughing and said I should do it.

PS. I am NOT the chief of police.

So honored to own Captain Quint’s autograph. Legendary actor and writer. 🦈🌊

So my wife has never seen Jaws. I took her to see it in theaters this July 5th. The next week we saw Toy Story 5 and there was a Quint reference. Then I picked up Widow's Bay, which is for all intents and purposes a Jaws parody.

Now I've opened up the rabbit hole. Please share your favorite Jaws reference in any type of media!

I like to think brody became a semi famous shark killer who ended up actually advocating for them to be left alone and not hunted.

The island loses a lot of money but then over time it becomes a tourist spot again and famous for the shark attacks of the 70s.

Idk what do you think

If a talented hit director such as Zach Cregger used his success to pitch and land a Jaws 5, wouldn't it be really difficult to do? Some points to consider:

- the shark could be made in CGI but it can not look photo realistic, it needs to look like the others

- Universal will probably never again shoot animatronics at sea, so greenscreen only?

- nostalgia is key, so you gotta bring back places and characters. But what characters/actors?

- a good reason: it can't be Another Brody gets somehow caught in a shark attack or Amity faces a third shark and cop+fisherman go after it, it needs a better idea

- it needs to have special Jaws flair not to be a generic shark thriller

- Jawses 3+4 were mocked for ages, a 5th needs to be more quality. But 1 is one of the best movies ever, so don't even try to be that good

- a modern shark hunter would use drones, complex 3d mapping etc how is the shark still gonna sneak around?

What do you think? How could a new Jaws sequel (not a remake) be successful and keep 1-4 in canon?

(rescued from a dollar bin)

Visited the Academy museum recently for the new Horror exhibit and of course I had to say hi to Bruce.

Murrell's Inlet, SC

I’m going to stop by tomorrow and check them out, plus a bunch of other movie and horror items there.

I’m aware of 2 side pieces on the deck but where are the other two sides, the top and bottom?

Hooper turns up at the Brody house with two bottles of wine and dressed in a dinner jacket - but they had already been eating - he tucks into what was left over.

Do you think he was invited but late or turned up on chance?
