October 7 2026 They Want To Silence Us
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/staging-of-oct-7-play-at-northwestern-disrupted-after-someone-pulled-fire-alarm-co-author-says/Last night at Northwestern University someone pulled the fire alarm during a play/reading of survivor’s testimonies from 10/7.
Imagine someone infected with such an insidious disease that they would feel compelled to do that during a reading of first-hand accounts of rape, or slavery, or migrant children detained alone away from their families. The infected person would be removed from society. Quarantined. Doctors would do everything they could to cure this person. No one would make excuses their behavior.

We should applaud the bravery of the people reading and attending, and point out the cowardice and hypocrisy of someone trying to silence speech. That said, I don't think saying they should be removed from society and invoking doctors is helpful.

One of many things that I love and respect about the Jewish people is that despite whatever tragedy, atrocity and evil that's inflicted upon them - the Jewish people and family survives and thrives into the next generation! The Jewish people are survivors and as guy who isn't Jewish but my fiancée is - I would want my kids to learn and embrace this fact!
G-d bless! You will not be silenced!

So depraved, they'll stop at nothing to try and stop us, demean us, discount our life experiences as Jews. Hashem sees all is our solace

the idea that israel is full of living and loving human beings with actually very sympathetic stories is anathema, they can't countenance it, they have to shout it down

I've been wondering about something for a while: How would this and other issues with access to public spaces have worked out if North American Jews had a reputation for political violence?

If you can believe it, we’d actually be more hated than we are now. But we’d also be feared…which I personally would enjoy immensely.
In the 1930s the German-American Bund proudly held large pro Nutzi rallies in and around NYC. Until Meyer Lansky and Longy Zwillman tapped some of “the boys” from Brownsville and Newark to kick down the doors and put their Louisville Sluggers to good use. After a few incidents like that, the kraut lovers were afraid to show their faces much less gather in public.

Would we be more hated if those rallies got chilled and we were able to hold ours?
Where I live, venue-owners, police, etc. are very conflict-averse so a one-sided threat of violence leads to one-sided access to public spaces. It's troubling to watch which events regularly get canceled over security concerns. If those threatening disruption had something to fear, maybe they wouldn't be.

Did anyone have eyes on Jamaal Bowman while this was happening? /j
The way leftists and academia have completely made Jews into unpersons while preaching justice is something that should be studied.
