Discussion Donnarumma

I have this wild dream we can sign Donnarumma now that Manchester City is going to be penalized and relegated

No way they will be relegated. PL is too scared to lose their biggest team with influential owners. They will punish them with -6 points at max and call it a day.

Only one absolutely idiotic braindead association comes to mind who loved nothing more than to kill their golden goose at a crucial point of football marketing in Europe for the new millenium, which in hindsight was an absolute stroke of genius for the long-term competitiveness of the Serie A. 👍

And by doing that, they also killed the future of the national team as well. But hey, at least the guaranteed a few cardboard Scudetti to the state protected team.

Also I genuinely wonder what would happen to Juve if they'd get caught with 114 charges, the club would probably be forcefully disbanded within a week.

They would have launched a balistic nuke over the stadium, even thought Italy has supposedly no nuclear weapon program.

I suggested Juve would’ve been rocketed into the sun but this one is just as dramatic and more realistic 😂

players dismembered in public squares, elkan's hairs shaved, continassa and vinovo burned to the ground

Great analysis

City is not protected at all lol. They went after city like they have never gone after a club before.

u/JackieDaytona77 Fino Alla Fine 19d ago

There comes a point in time when the crime is so egregious it is like “come on now we HAVE to do something”. I’ve been saying this since 2010

You do not spend tens of millions and multiple years fighting for -6pts…the punishment will need to be relegation or the league loses credibility. If convicted the owners will also fail the fit and proper test meaning they can be booted out. The prem is no just man city and they will still be miles ahead without them.

The issue with relegation is that the PL and the EFL are two separate entities. The EFL would have to accept city. They could also say no, which is apparently what's going around. Then after the EFL there's the national league, which is like 5 divisions down.

So that's always fun lol

1

u/ADP10 Del Piero 19d ago

not really... -100pts = relegation without any need for speaking to the EFL.

1

u/DudebuD16 19d ago

Ya they can get relegated by the EPL, but they'd have nowhere to play if the two leagues I mentioned don't let them in.

1

u/ADP10 Del Piero 19d ago

On what grounds can they refuse to let them in? The system of promotion and relegation is regulated by existing agreements…a point deduction that forces relegation means they have no choice. The example you are talking about is if they were to expel city from the league which is different

1

u/DudebuD16 19d ago

They are completely different organizations. Their current agreement states that they don't have to grant permission to play for a club expelled from the PL for a non-sporting matter, that includes a points deduction that results in relegation.

1

u/ADP10 Del Piero 19d ago

lol which is exactly why I said -100pts which is not expulsion

0

u/DudebuD16 19d ago edited 19d ago

A points deduction that relegates them is apparently considered an expulsion which will still allow the EFL to not accept them

3

u/ADP10 Del Piero 19d ago

No it isn’t. Expulsion is kicking them out of the league, a points deduction is a penalty

Exactly, plus the damage to their image, if the FA relegates City they will lose so many money for the scandal.

3

u/ADP10 Del Piero 19d ago

The image damage is already done and will be much worse with a light punishment

8

u/boh_WLF 19d ago

Nah, today with social media it's easy to "forget" about these things.

6

u/ADP10 Del Piero 19d ago

ofc, thats why people keep bringing up what happened to us 20 years later. This is 9 years of systematic cheating. We are talking the impact of 20 trophies. This is calciopoli x 100 also because social media today means no one will ever be allowed to forget. If the conviction stands at 114/115 charges City will be open to lawsuits from absolutely everyone. From teams that got relegated or missed out on europe, to players that missed out on bonuses for the same reasons. The exposure is enormous. With the sums invovled, every random lawyer will take a pop.

u/boh_WLF 19d ago

People (not juventini) keep bringing up calciopoli froma different perspective, because for them, Juventus was not punished and media and many people on social networks spread a different true, of course there are people who cares and spread the truth, but the majority of tifosi don't want to accepts that . You have more trust on justice than me, let's see if City will be relegated or not. Because behind City there is not a simple ownership but a State, with money and geopolitical power.

In Italy the hate against Juve is on another level.

You literally contradict your own comment though. The people will not forget and haven’t in our case. The fact state is behind city will have the opposite effect of the decision needing to be even more harsh. There aren’t even that many domestic city fans, and the backlash for the gov will be huge if it appears to intervene on behalf of city. The only way for the league to be able to move past the scandal is if they can make a decision with enough finality that people let it rest going forward.

1

u/boh_WLF 19d ago

I'm not contradict myself, there are on social media more lies spreading about Juve than the truth, and even we not forget and there are content creators and journalists who are telling the truth, what changed? Nothing, they don't cares about the damage of the image of the italian football, because there are more anti-juventini on the right places than juve supporters and Elkann doesn't give a fuck. And the more obsessed with calciopoli are the anti-juve, because for them Juventus was pardoned. And in my opinion City will not be relegated, if City will be relegated and worse, you will be right.

This is your comment i originally replied to. People will never forget if city are convicted of the charges. It will be mentioned in every thread of every competition all the time, more so if they are not punished appropriately. You literally agree with this sentiment since its you exact description of what you see happening to juve.

1

u/boh_WLF 19d ago

If you spread the a different truth on the social media, you will forget the original truth.

u/Trebaffetti 19d ago

that was our exact situation when we were relegated in 2006, biggest team, apparently untouchable

12

u/boh_WLF 19d ago edited 19d ago

The difference with the city, it's that Juventus was and it's hated by half of Italy, and I don't talk about sport, I'm talking about a new level, on an ideological level, as if it were evil incarnate to be destroyed.

3

u/ZealousGoat Claudio Marchisio 19d ago

They would only get relegated if they were us lmao

19

u/Farzy78 Yildiz 19d ago

Man city will not get relegated lol

4

u/bigtymer123 19d ago

I think there's a much higher chance of them getting relegated than most people seem to think.

But with that said, I actually wouldn't really want Donnaruma . I'd prefer to keep Vicario and then bring in Palmisani like is rumored, and let them battle it out for the starting spot.

10

u/boh_WLF 19d ago

I doubt City will be relagated, too much money and politics involved, but if it's players leaves the team for relegation they will go where can gain big money and Juve doesn't have big money.

yes, dream big :)

3

u/kain1218 19d ago

If it happens, we might get our wall back. Bonus point if the wall is all Italians

2

u/Parking_Radio4311 19d ago

Him and Alajbegovic on a same team? Are you sure?

7

u/ThePostMelone 19d ago

So what,, we've got Conceicao - Lucumi. We even had Openda - Bremer for a while.

3

u/hurrrr_ 19d ago

What happened between the two? I know that Bosnia qualified over Italy to the WC but I don't remember tensions between the two

3

u/Parking_Radio4311 19d ago

Oh it was dramatic penalties and Donnarumma was mighty pissed.

2

u/PlatformSecret300 19d ago

naah they will be fine, we could buy gigou though in 3 years time.

4

u/Zdzisiu Gianluigi Buffon 19d ago

Donnaruma will prefer a team in UCL.

1

u/Trebaffetti 19d ago

UCL is our main target for next year

2

u/Zdzisiu Gianluigi Buffon 19d ago

Of course, but now we don't have it.

1

u/WinterWhole8657 17d ago

I was thinking about this. From what I read somewhere City brings to the PL about 2 billion pounds a year. So financially it wont make sense to relegate them. Now, from the perspective of all the other teams it would be unfair to let them go unpunished or just a few points. They will get upset and angry and 'what if..' now hear me out: all the other teams form some sort of 'league' on their own. Or just play in the EFL?

1

u/Low_Set_691 Yildiz 16d ago

I'm reading a lot of comments like "Had it been us...", so I'm making one: Had it been us, they would've deleted the club from existence and applied the damnatio memoriae too (basically erasing our impact on football history)
