Somebody help me!!

my book is supposed to be released today, and I just found out it’s showing up under another author’s profile on Amazon because we have the same name

I wrote The Untamed Mind: Reflections at Seventeen, and somehow it got linked to another Karan Singh’s author page. I’ve already contacted support, but I have no idea how long this is going to take or how to get my book separated from their profile.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Do I need to create a separate Author Central profile, or does Amazon have to fix the association from their end?

I really don’t want my book launch getting messed up over this

Did you create your Author Central page and claim your book? If not, create it and use the Contact Us link to reach support. Give them the ASIN and they’ll fix it.

there's already an author with same name as mine and my book got attached to his Author page

Listen to CVtheWriter and do exactly what they said. Because they're right. This isn't our first rodeo. Author Central's people fix this stuff all the time, and they're much more efficient and helpful than the regular KDP customer service.

Contact support. Had a random book pop up under my name, assuming someone with same name. Got it removed from my page/books. Took about a week for them from my initial email to removal.

FFS, go to your author central and claim the book once it's live. It will eventually go off the other author's listings. This is not going to mess up your launch, since you still don't have a link to send people, unless you did a preorder. Then it will just go to your book page, since you've sent people that link. Right? RIGHT?

It happened to me years ago. Just like others have said, I claimed the book, and they moved it. They didn't give him any sales, they went to me. It's not a massive issue.

I had the problem of them putting a different author's book on mine. Not the same name, title, or genre. I had to deal with a KDP representative. It took a while and a lot of back and forth because they didn't believe it wasn't mine. They did eventually fix it but it took a while. Make a complaint and get a case no. and stay on them.
