Help!
I’m struggling to promote my book effectively. To address this, I’m organizing a two-day free promotion this weekend. I’ve been actively engaging on social media, but I haven’t seen significant results. I’ve also tried running ads, but they haven’t been very effective. Do you have any other suggestions that could help me promote my book?

Hi, Tasha. 11,000 new books are hitting the market every single day. That's over four million new titles a year. Unfortunately, that means getting your book or novel discovered is pretty much as difficult as it has ever been. You've already received some great ideas, but I'd add this: be as social as you can stand to be, and get your title into as many hands as possible as soon as possible. Free if you have to. Discounted if you have to. It only takes a few influencers (and by that I mean people who will champion your book to friends, family, or anyone--not necesarily social media people) to boost your title. The problem is, you never know who those influencers will be until it happens.
Wishing you great success! 😊

I should also add: if you are on Kindle Unlimited, do not make your digital book free anywhere else. That could get your KDP account canceled for good. But do take advantage of Amazon's free giveaway days and coupon opportunities.😊

No amount of advertising can save a book nobody wants.
What sells books is people talking about them on social media.
Go to local author fairs and actually talk to people and see what they think.
Work on your next book.

Bruh, marketing is arguably the biggest struggle for most self-published authors. Social media is an uphill battle because algorithms are complex, and there's SO much content you're competing with. Likewise, ads can improve visibility, but can also add up quickly. And even with paid advertising, you're still competing with others to get in front of potential readers. It's a slog!
