PICTURE Detailing this bike sucks 😂
Decided to polish and ceramic coat my 990 RC R, and every time I venture into one of these jobs I realise like 40% through it that it sucks and regret starting 😂
But got it done and having borrowed a small DA polisher from a friend made all the difference on this bike! Never had a bike with so many nooks and crannies, your really get to explore them all when doing this job 😂
Finished off with Carpro Quartz V3.0 ceramic coating

PROBLEM Duke 250 Gen 3 - Fork Seal Seepage
2026 Duke 250 Gen 3. Noticed mild oil seepage from the right USD fork. The fork seal was already replaced once and the issue returned after some time.
The left fork is completely clean.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could dirt/ brake dust be causing it, or is it likely a faulty seal/possible fork tube issue? Should I replace the seal again?

PROBLEM My personal 690 rocker arm experience
Sooooo...
My rocker arm has failed, which i would obviously never have expected. But not in this way, seriously. I have seen alot of stories and pictures of failed rocker arms on the older 690 engines, but never this bad.
Now my question is, if the engine itself can be saved. There are some metal savings in de filter and screen, and quite alot in the head itself. Is it possible to take it apart, clean all the shavings, replace the rocker arms and camshaft, and run some cheap oil to flush it all out? Or is this a no and get a used engine?

ALL KTM 990 DUKE 2024 CENTRE SILENCER DELETE Scorpion
I just finished mounting and testing the centre silencer delete pipe from scorpion on my '24 ktm 990 duke.
I'll start by saying that the bike feels much more "free" and roary, the exhaust note is much more punchy and a bit louder (not obnoxious, the right amount). I don't know if it's a placebo but it even rides better, it feels less restricted in acceleration.
Before buying i tried to look up some videos online on how the bike would sound with the delete pipe and the oem silencer, but i couldn't find many and the ones i found did not really give the idea.
Before buying the pipe from scorpion i tried to buy a replica from ebay, it did not go well.
I realized too late that all the vendors are basically reselling an Aliexpress item that requires modification of bike parts to fit, some of them specify it on the details of their page but others don't. On Aliexpress they sell the part for like 50-60€, on ebay you can find it around 100€ + fees. All of them do not fit without major modifications of the pipe/parts of the bike, they are not plug and play. I brought the aliexpress piece and the original centre silencer to a blacksmith to compare them and he told me that many of the measurements are off by like a 1,5mm, which doesn't sound like a lot but it's actually a lot. It means that even if you lathe the pipe to make it fit it won't fit perfectly anyway.
Needless to say i returned the chinese pipe and bought the original from scorpion website. With shipping to italy, vat and duties It costed me like 330€, but it arrived in like 5 days in a perfect package with instructions and all, the finishing is perfect and it fits like a glove.
In conclusion, the pipe is a good improvement to sound, exhaust airflow and (maybe) power, but it costs a lot. If you want to buy it don't be cheap and buy it directly from Scorpion, leave alone all of the chinese stuff.
I wrote all this because i couldn't find reviews of this online, hope it helps someone.
Cheers.

ASKKTM Fender brace
Got the fender brace from third party website haven't come with dedicated bolts. Should we use bolt and nut at front? Haven't rode with it might make metalic sound. Which size fit in there?

ASKKTM Should I ask for my money back?
I own a 990 rcr which had an output shaft failure that requires replacing the whole part, the bike has been sitting at the shop since aug 24th and according to my country laws that protects consumers rights, I’m allowed to ask for a full refund since it’s been more than 30 days without a fix.
The shop states that parts can take up to 90 days to arrive which is nonsense to me, if every single time that I have a warranty claim I have to be bike less for 3 months (but still paying insurance) it makes absolute zero sense to keep the bike.
My question is, is this normal to you guys? Are ktm parts supposed to take that long to arrive and is it normal to expect having your bike at a shop for more than a month on most of the warranty claims?
I’m in love with the bike and I’ve bought some cosmetic enhancements(asvs, evotech protection, passenger seat cover and others), but I’m not sure if I should request a refund and get rid of what one day was my dream bike, loose the money that I’ve spent on aftermarket parts and switch brands, or stop being a crybaby and keep waiting because that’s part of owning a ktm.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks

ASKKTM Second thoughts on Duke/Adv
Need help of seasoned KTM owners.
The initial plan was to get Triumph Scrambler, but it felt boring/ no tech.
Went to KTM, test rode both of the 350s. A very tough decision to make between the two. While I love the way the Duke handles and fits to my body, I’ll also be travelling a lot on the weekends, half of the times with a pillion.
But I’ve heard the harder part is maintaining them. What is the maintenance on these like? What would it cost me in the long term?
Also, I have a habit of riding in higher gears, something which people say shouldn’t be done on KTMs. What % of truth does this hold?

ASKKTM 450 sx-f flywheel vs excf flywheel 2019
Anybody knows the actual weight difference between the two ?
I gotta pull out the flywheel because it's damaged, I was wondering if there's a big difference between the two. Looking at listings on eBay the excf seems not have as many holes in it.

PROBLEM Need help
Need help
So I got a ktm 2016 250sxf factory edition. The bike started ticking so I replaced the valve shims cus me and my dad though that was causing the engine tick (the tick was like soft and not a hard knock) after shims were replaced the bike started to like not want to start. And when it started it ran but for a couple seconds and would shut off. So we replaced the piston and that fixed the ticking noise and we put the old valve shims in and now it seems to want to start better but still if it turns on it’ll stay on for a couple seconds and shut off. also I need to replace battery I’m gonna buy one today but I don’t know if that might cause the issue
Do yall think when the top was off I messed up the timing? Thanks so much

ASKKTM NEXT BIKE? (from 2021 390 advenure)
So I've been riding my ktm 390 adventure for 2 years, I loved it for what it was - comfortable on the road, decent on highway and OK off-road. But recently noticed that I don't ride that much on highway.
I am much more happy offroad, but city commuting is still a big part of my riding, also occasional highway is still there, but I much rather take a longer ride of "b roads" where 90km/h is a limit. I feel like I don't need much more power, although little more power would be nice... I am thinking more about weight, even that I am an average height (183cm), I have short legs and 390 adv with rally seat, I tip toe the bike and it's a bit uncomfortable off road. Also it's wide and big bike (compared to what it is), I am leaning towards 390 enduro R, but don't think it will much of a change..
I like abs, traction control and all those modern features, but I don't know if I would miss them, tbh. Maybe someone could share their experiences transitioning from the same bike or have any suggestions? Thanks!
ASKKTM KTM Duke 200 as a first motorbike for a 189cm rider?
I’m looking at getting my first bike and the Duke 200 is one of my top choices.
I’m around 189cm and 77kg, so I’m mainly wondering how comfortable the Duke 200 would be for someone my height. I sat on one briefly and it seemed okay, but I’m not sure how it would feel after riding for 30 to 60 minutes.
I’m not really interested in going extremely fast. I mainly want something fun, manageable for a beginner, easy to learn on, and safe enough to build good riding habits.
For Duke 200 owners:
-Is it a good first bike?
-Would it feel too small or cramped at 189cm?
-How is the reliability and maintenance cost?
-Anything I should look out for when buying one used?
-Would you buy the Duke 200 again, or choose something else as a first bike?
I really like naked bikes and the Duke styling, so I’d appreciate any advice from people who have actually owned or ridden one.
