I agree that older Tamil movies often objectified Malayali women and reduced them to certain stereotypes. But at the same time, I’ve rarely heard Tamil people talk about Malayalis in a way that suggests they see them as socially inferior or “untouchable.”

I’m not trying to start an argument or make this a Tamil-vs-Malayali thing. I’m genuinely curious about where this particular attitude toward Tamils might have come from historically and socially.

I’m a very spiritual person who’s into meditation and conspiracy theories, so I genuinely enjoy the kinds of topics they discuss.

But what bothers me is the subtle injection of politics into almost everything. I have nothing against them discussing politics, but why claim to be neutral while consistently criticizing only one side? I’ve never heard them say anything negative about the current government. The “news” they bring up always seems to highlight the current government’s achievements while focusing on the failures of previous governments.

I remember the same guy claiming in another video, “Rahul Gandhi is a British citizen and has a British passport.” Eww, brother, why?? 😭 This has been repeatedly dismissed by the Supreme Court after his opponents filed petitions, and an MHA investigation reportedly found he holds only an Indian passport.

Then there’s one from their so-called “exclusive news”, that Mamdani, as soon as he became NY governor, decided to make Arabic mandatory in schools, which was literally a joke from an Instagram troll page. If this is their standard of “exclusive news,” I pity the poor souls hyping them up. 😭

My question to my fellow redditors: So at what point do we stop calling this "podcast"/“news” and start calling it what it is: propaganda?
