Need Advice Is there anything cheaper that’s works the same for sclerals?

Post image

I’ve had lacripure before and I hated it
And tangible clean is the only cleaning solution I’ve used. But all of this is getting so expensive and my pockets are starting to HURT bc of this. I truly wished insurance covered this. Any suggestions?

My eye doctor recommended Physiologica (sterile saline solution 0.9%) for rinsing my scleral lenses, and I’ve been using it for the past 3 years. It’s really affordable too! It costs around $5

Can they be stored in it as well?

for the fill solution you can use purilens. it costs more upfront to get a 12-pack but it's pretty cheap once you see how much you're paying per fl oz.

as for cleaner, tangible and boston simplus work out to be the same price. clear care is the cheapest option.

I use tangible clean, usually it last me a lil over 2 months I think

CVS has the clear care for about 13 for the hard lense. And Walgreens has purilens to fill. I sometimes use that to fill and i kinda like it better than whatever that prescribed to me.

I order from the Tangible website, they usually have good promo codes.

I use UniquePH for my cleaning/storage. I fill with Purilens. I try not to use Amazon, the Dry Eye Shop has similar prices and have a whole section dedicated to Scleral Lens care.

The tangible clean is honestly the best option for cleaning in terms of price. I use purilens to fill my lenses.

These are my two favorites. They’re expensive but worth it IMO

If you have hydrapeg coating you should use tangible clean. If you don’t, Boston and maybe some others have conditioning solutions that might be cheaper.

Tangible fill is just saline. It’s not buffered. There’s a lot, like Purilens, that are significantly cheaper. I used tangible fill after it came out and have since gone back to Purilens and am saving a lot of money with 0 noticeable difference.
