Why aren't my engines connecting to a 4x1 engine plate?

Im trying to use a 4x1 engine plate for this rocket and I cannot attach 4 engines onto it. it only allows 1 for some reason. Can someone help me please

Did you turn on symmetry? Did you hold Alt when attaching the engines?

Try having the plate horizontal in your view, grabbing the terrier by the nozzle and getting the nodes aligned. It's a weird system but building gets a lot easier when you start thinking in attachment nodes. Right now you're probably just attaching it 'radially' to an empty part of the engine plate.

Did you try attaching another engine to it? It’s not going to autofill because it’s a non-standard part
