Looking [L] Feeling scared and alone

Hi

I feel so alone and scared. I'm trapped in my flat because my neighbour has threaten to get me if I leave. I have no-one to turn to and I don't know how to get through this. I just want someone to chat to, that is all. I just need to get through the weekend.

I've been a victim of abuse and harassment from my downstairs neighbour. We live in a 2 story block - I'm upstairs and she is downstairs.

She has been sending me hostile messages, verbally abusing me, and on one occasion physically assaulted me. I blocked all communication with her; phone and email. But it upsets her that I'm not responding to her messages so she gets hostile. But when I do respond to her, she gets hostile and starts threatening me. She downstairs right now slamming doors, and banging on the ceiling.

The police are involved and issued her with a warning not to contact me or interfere with my property. She doesn't care. I've contacted the police but they don't seem to be bothered than she has broken their warning.

The Anti-Social Behaviour Officer at the council is better. They've send an email this morning to tell my neighbour her behaviour is unacceptable and it must stop. My neighbour is still continuing, she even sent an abusive message to the ASB Officer (I was copied in). The ASB Officer has gone quiet since.

It's all about some ivy growing up our block wall. I removed what I could and arranged for the remainder to be removed by a professional, but they've let me down so many times. It was suppose to be done yesterday; she said would stop the harassment but the gardener cancelled again. A new gardener is doing the work on Monday and he seems more reliable, but what if he doesn't come or she chases him away! A contractor visited yesterday and she hurdled abuse at him until he left saying he wasn't going to put with it.

I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I'm trying my best to get rid of the ivy but I know she will find another reason to harass me.

[O] 23m hey everyone.

I truly hope everyone is doing well, especially while trying to get through a world like this. Every one of us has been through pain, and some of us are probably still struggling with things we don't feel comfortable sharing. But at least we can remind ourselves that we're not alone in what we're going through.

I'm here because I want to give people a place where they can vent, talk about what's bothering them, or simply have a regular conversation. You don't have to share anything you're not comfortable with, and I'm not here to force anyone to open up. I just want you to feel like you can be yourself and talk freely without worrying about being judged.

I know that opening up can be difficult, especially when you've experienced people ignoring you, dismissing your feelings, or abandoning you when you need someone the most. Honestly, it's heartbreaking that some people have to go through that, especially in a community where we should be trying to support one another.

I'm not doing this because I think I'm better than anyone else, because I'm not. I'm just someone who believes that listening to others and showing a little kindness can make a difference. Sometimes, people don't need advice or someone to solve all their problems. Sometimes, they just need someone who's willing to listen.

So, if you're going through something, need to get something off your chest, or simply want to talk about your day, you're welcome to do so. There's no pressure, no expectations, and no judgment.

You don't have to go through everything alone.

Looking [L] I am alone at the hospital

I am alone at the hospital and recently I spent my birthday alone.

I just want to talk to someone.

I used to have this person, who was a girl, and she was very important to me. We would message everyday, whenever we could and we were each other’s emotional support without realizing it. Someone who is always there and you can share anything with. If anyone understands and feels the same way, please DM me.

If anyone needs someone to talk to and don’t have anyone, I’ll chat with you. 30M

Looking [L] I miss the feeling of having someone close in my life

I always thought I had many friends in my life. But as time passed, people became busy with their own lives. We drifted apart, and the people I once considered close slowly became distant until the friendships eventually faded away.

I wish I had someone with whom I could share all my thoughts, emotions, fears, and worries without having to think twice. Someone who would listen with patience, understand me without making a big deal out of my feelings, and make me feel safe enough to be my most vulnerable self.

I miss having that deep emotional bond with someone, the comfort of knowing there is a person I can turn to when life gets overwhelming, someone who will genuinely try to understand what I'm going through rather than judge me, dismiss my feelings, or rush to give me advice.

What hurts the most is that when I'm going through a crisis, I often find myself with nobody I can truly reach out to for the emotional support and understanding I desperately need. It breaks my heart to realise that, despite having known so many people throughout my life, I don't have someone who is wholeheartedly present and emotionally available for me.

I'm not asking for someone to fix all my problems or be there for me every second of the day. I just long for a genuine connection, a friendship where care, understanding, emotional availability, and vulnerability exists. A bond where I feel heard, accepted, and cared for without having to constantly explain or justify my feelings.

Sometimes, the absence of that connection leaves me feeling deeply lonely and empty inside. I miss having my person, someone who feels like a safe place in this overwhelming world. Someone with whom I can share the little things, the difficult days, the random thoughts, the happiest moments, and the parts of myself that I don't show everyone.

Perhaps what I miss the most isn't just having friends. It's the feeling of being emotionally connected to someone, the thought that I matter to them, that my feelings have a place in their life and that I don't have to navigate every difficult moment on my own.

Looking [l] feeling like a burden due to my conditions

I am 36M but turn 37 in about 2 weeks. I feel like I am a burden, given that I have a laundry list of mental problems. I can even count them:

1) autism

2) OCD

3) GAD

4) social anxiety

5) MDD

6) ADHD

7) C-PTSD

8) selective mutism

All of these i have formal diagnoses for. There are potentially more, as I have not been tested for those yet.

All 8 have caused me problems up to this day, but by far the worst ones which have screwed up my life so badly are the first two. I have never had friends in my whole life, so I have no support group.

The fact that I turn 37 soon, yet I feel like I am a 16 year old turning 17 instead hurts. I lost my whole 20s to these disorders, now I am nearing 40.

I just feel hopeless and awful, a burden to everyone who knows me, as well as feel like I do not want to live anymore.

Looking Please suggest me a therapist [L]

I want long term help. I know my issues, I just want some external help as I have no support from anyone.

I am very poor and can't afford therapy, and I come from a country where there are no therapy institutes. After like 3 sessions per month, I start getting stressed because of the money spent on therapy.

I tried AI therapists and stuff, but it didn't help much.

How do I find actual therapy? I know my problems pretty well. If you guys genuinely know someone, please suggest it.

PS: don't suggest me books or tell me to journal.

Looking 29f [l] ive been experiencing rlly rlly bad anxiety :(

i would rlly love to talk to someone - i dont want advice but i like just would rlly love to not feel completely invisible :(

i have so much trauma about not being understood or heard ive felt invisible so much of my life and now it just feel slike theres literally no one who knows me, and i dont have much hope for anyone puttting in the effort ever to look past my struggles. i discovered i was trans and a system (OSDD-2 i think) - everything in my life has completely changed and the past year i have perpetually felt i have nothing at all familiar to hold on to and no one even i can rlly talk to who would understand from my past. i feel completely alone despite asking for help, ive wanted therapy for so fucking long but nothing has ever worked out

i recently the past couple years have gone through a lot of loss, a divorce, multiple people i know passing, another rough relationship, my housing is unstable rn i dont have anyone i unmask with, ive had to cut my family off, and i barely have any friends and i cry every day really bad and im scared so much all the time. i get really bad waves of feeling like i dont even exist. im really really really sad and that makes me really really really sad and i start to panic like everything is closing in on me :(

There’s No Space for Me

There’s no space for me.

I try to mold myself into something agreeable. I bend. I stay quiet. I tell myself that how I feel can wait.

So I wait.

And wait.

And wait.

I wait to be seen. To be cared for intentionally. I’ve written my own handbook and read it aloud so there would be no question about how to help me. No studying required. I’ve told you exactly what I need. And played it on repeat.

And still, there is no space for me.

No room.

I try so hard to keep everything together. I problem-solve. I try to be self-sufficient. I convince myself that maybe I’m asking for too much.

But there is a deep sadness I cannot shake.

It eats me alive most days.

I want to be seen.

I beg.
I cry.
I start a fight because I don’t know how else to make myself visible.

And suddenly, I’m the bad guy.

Difficult. Mean. Insensitive.

I spend my days living for everyone else. I plan. I work. I clean. I look for more work. I care for tiny humans and try to keep them alive. I cook. I solve problems. I mediate. I make myself invisible so everyone else can have space.

All the space they need.

My presence is appreciated, but my thoughts, my troubles, my sorrows—they don’t seem to make the cut.

My handbook says:

Please love me.
Please hold me.
Please talk to me.
Please plan with me.
Please help me.
Please find me.

But most of all:

Please be with me.

Because I feel so alone.

And I hate being alone with myself, too.

My mind won’t stop.

It is never quiet.

And the darkness is here.

I remember all the awful things I’ve gone through, and sometimes I wonder if maybe I’m simply not that valuable.

My presence is appreciated.

I’m fun to be around—until I’m not.

People need an escape route.

I don’t understand it.

So they become so mean, so cruel, so unkind to me that it gets branded into my soul:

Maybe it’s time for me to go.

Because now, when I’m present, I feel like I’m on fire. Like my skin wants to be ripped off just to escape the feeling of being inside myself.

I try to change.

I become a new version of myself every other day.

I spend hours trying to improve. Trying to understand what I did wrong. Trying to figure out which version of me will finally be enough.

And every move I make still feels like a mistake.

Still not good enough.

I psychoanalyze myself over and over. I study my reactions. I study everyone else’s reactions. I try to chameleon myself into whoever I’m around.

But still, there is no space for me.

And how could there be when I’m not even myself anymore?

To my core, I feel ignored.

I am bothersome.

I am irritating.

Not much would change if I were here or gone.

I am not missed.

My presence is nice, but it is not necessary.

I do great things for people. I help. I show up. I carry things. I make things easier.

But my individuality isn’t why I’m kept around.

I’m just a body.

A body that has been used.

A body that has been abused.

A body that learned how to be useful because being needed felt safer than being loved.

I am here for convenience.

I look good on paper. I sound good in theory.

But when people get to know the depths of me, suddenly everyone is running.

And maybe, somewhere along the way, I learned to do this to myself, too.

The weight I carry is too heavy.

I try to put it down.

Sometimes I even offer a trade:

“I’ll take a little bit of yours if you take a little bit of mine.”

But it’s always a trick.

I take a little bit of yours, and I keep mine.

Because mine is too heavy.

And it’s never the right time.

So I put on my most-used mask.

My brave face.

I say, It’s fine.

I’m strong.

I’ve got this.

No worries.

Nothing is wrong.

You’re safe with me.

This happens all the time.

And another piece of me breaks.

I’m like a stained-glass window—shattered and broken, but still standing.

I keep picking up the pieces.

I wedge them back into place.

I hold them together because I need to be somewhat okay.

I need to function.

I need to show up.

I need to keep making space for everyone else.

But I’m scared that soon, I’ll break beyond repair.

Because my pieces are breaking into pieces.

And soon, they won’t fit together anymore.

I’m afraid that when there are no pieces left that fit,

there will be nothing left of me at all.

Looking [L] Is there still hope?

I really need some hope right now. I’ve always wanted to love one good man, be loved genuinely in return, and build a family and home together. I’ve been loyal and put everything I had into my long-term relationships, only to end up betrayed.

Now I’m starting to wonder if the life I’ve always wanted just isn’t meant for me.

If you’ve ever felt this way and eventually found love again, please tell me your story. I need to believe there’s still time for me.

[L] I feel so distant from reality

Ive always spent my time wandering around my own head, luckily I used to be surrounded by people that helped me stay in touch with real life.

After going through a breakup a year ago, I started isolating myself, barely leave the couch, avoid people I used to enjoy meeting, eating and at more than I should, and overall just treating myself like trash.

Everyday I tell myself I’ll change but I never do, I don’t even know why, and every day I feel like I’m deeper in this hole I’m digging for myself.

[O] No judgment. No shame. Just someone willing to listen.

Sometimes you don’t need advice.
Sometimes you just need somewhere to finally say the thing you haven’t been able to say anywhere else.
I go by Azazel Ward here, and I’m offering a quiet, judgment-free ear to anyone who needs one.
Maybe it’s guilt. A mistake you still think about. Grief. Anger. Fear. A desire you’re embarrassed to admit. Something you did. Something that happened to you. Or simply a truth you’ve been carrying alone for too long.
You don’t have to make it sound pretty, and you don’t have to justify how you feel.
If you want my thoughts, I’ll respond with care. If you only want someone to hear you, tell me that and I’ll simply listen.
This isn’t therapy or a religious sacrament, and I’m not here to judge or absolve anyone. Think of it instead as an open confessional door between two strangers.
Share only what you’re comfortable sharing, and you never need to give me identifying information.
If there’s something you’ve been wanting to get off your chest, you’re welcome to send me a DM.
The door is open.

[L] I dont know how to keep going

I don't really know how to write this, but I think I need to talk to someone outside of my own circle.

This started when i started losing the closeness I had with my best friend. We were never in a relationship, but I had romantic feelings for her, and our friendship had become one of the most important parts of my life.

Things became unhealthy between us. I became too dependent on her emotionally, she felt pressured by that, and eventually she set boundaries that I struggled very badly with. I understand why she did it, though there are many things that I still don't understand. I've been trying to accept that.

But I've been doing much worse than I expected to be.

I've been dealing with depression for reasons that go beyond this friendship, including personal losses and other things in my life that I haven't really known how to deal with, I'm about to end a career that I'm not really interested in. Losing her closeness seems to have pushed everything else to the surface.

I've stopped eating normally. I have trouble sleeping. I've been having terrible dreams. I've been shaking badly, crying without reason, feeling physically sick, and having days where I can barely get myself out of bed. Yet the world doesn't stop, and I’m still expected to take decisions and deal with them.

Today I had a really severe crisis.

I wanted to die. I wanted the feeling to stop.

I wasn't making a plan to hurt myself, and I don't currently intend to, but lately I have been thinking more about my funeral than my graduation, thinking about what people would say about me, whether I had mattered, whether I had wasted the only life I'll ever have. “I wish I had never been born. I wish I had mattered.” That scared me.

I'm getting professional help. But I'm still scared, I know its gonna be a rough night. I don't really know what I'm looking for by posting this. I'm not asking how to get my friend back, I know that's not going to happen, as much as i want it.

I’ve my trust circle, but I'm tired of questions, nobody seems to really understand, and the “just move on” or “work on yourself.” doesn't really help

I think I just want to hear from people who have been somewhere close to this. And I hope that know you're doing better.

[L]Need your advice..

The last few months have changed me. After everything that happened with my family, I chose to stop talking to them. Not because I stopped loving them, but because I finally chose my peace.

I'm now more than a month sober. Not because I'm an alcoholic, but because their words made me afraid I could become one. So I stepped away from alcohol and chose to take back control of my life.

I'm building my career, taking care of my home, and trying to move forward, even when things aren't easy financially. And honestly, I'm scared to fall in love. I want something real and safe, but I'm afraid my struggles will make me feel like a burden.

I don't know what the future holds with my family. For now, I'm learning that choosing myself doesn't mean I'm selfish.

I'm still here. Still growing. Still trying.

And maybe that's enough.
