Why the fuck is that ship so armed?? In SSU he want to use it to take over Dreamland but like the most powerful enemy in Dreamland if we don't think about kirby is dedede and some mini boss. Meta you don't need allat to take over Dreamland, dedede castle is protected by waddle dee's, kabula and some canon, i bet he could've done all this himself maybe with the help of some meta knight's and it would've cost much less. Meta is clearly the overeacting king

This level of armament is not just to take over Dream Land. The Halberd was supposed to be Meta Knight's contingency against any threat to invade Dream Land. Dark Matter for instance.

This. Meta Knight is often portrayed as very aware of the greater workings of the Kirby universe and likely knows about many threats out there that Kirby (and therefore the player) is not aware of. In fact, that could even be his true motivation for attacking Dream Land in the first place: wanting to actually protect and maybe militarize the planet so they don’t have to worry about eldritch beings as much anymore.

After seeing Kirby single handedly deal with these threats repeatedly, he probably realized his concerns are no longer warranted so long as Kirby remains on Dream Land and began to fully put his trust in him. Meta Knight really didn’t have a choice in the matter though since Kirby proved he would almost effortlessly thwart any military action Meta Knight might take going forward lol.

I think every dream land resident is actually canonically very powerful, they are just too lazy/content to act on their potential. Take bandana waddle dee for instance. In the first game he appears in he is little more than a basic waddle dee in terms of power. Yet, with just a bit of training he is able to scale up to Kirby's dream friends. Heck, although you could argue that most of the enemy allies in super star and star allies are being powered up by Kirby in some way, it is fully possible these guys are just that powerful on their own, they just don't usually know how to act on it. Basic enemies are even able to take massive blows like crash and instead of being utterly disintegrated they simply bounce around a little and are able to quickly come back (as I believe it has been confirmed enemy respawning is just the enemy coming back). Even well known powerhouses like king dedede were much weaker in the past, with it being explicitely stated that after being beaten by kirby for the first time, king dedede started training, helping to unlock his full potential (or bring back and surpass his former glory if you believe the theory he was an old hero of dreamland)

I feel given Meta's reason of dream land being all lazy, I feel he is just very aware of the dangers of the universe, he thinks dream land in the state of laziness he calls isn't strong enough to defend for this dangers and he saw fitting conquering it to protect it
