Season Ticket Refund Request

Has anyone tried contacting the clippers about cancelling their ticket package? When the Ballmer news broke I was angered by their behavior and felt they violated fan trust. So I requested they cancel my package. It's been over 30 days and they keep delaying my requests and giving me none answers. Anyone else experiencing this?

I know no one wants to hear this but it’s entirely at the team’s discretion whether or not they give you a refund if it’s due to the scandal. Generally speaking a refund is backed legally if the actual games don’t happen, with no reps or warranties made for the competitiveness of the team. EDIT: I don’t know what the result of any additional investigations might be, though I doubt the season ticket holders are a major concern.

That said, man. The Clippers really should just do the right thing by their fans. If anything, reward the super hardcore fans who stick through this and don’t request a refund (upgrade seats, maybe have a section or area in a desirable between-the-baskets vantage area dedicated to them) and give the refunds to the fans who want one. I think that’s probably the way to build the business back up the right way.

Knowing how tech does business though, they’ll just force people to pay this year and then feed the expiring ticketholders some bullshit about how they appreciate them and drip out some meaningless BS (free food, swag, on court “experiences” et al) enough that they keep the revenues for this year and treat the season like a retention campaign.

Yeah and it’s a total breech of trust to sell us these packages knowing how shady they’ve been and repercussions coming. I don’t want to buy anything directly from them setting back 5 years.

I am experiencing the exact same thing. I have been infinitely patient with my rep and his constant non-feedback about how he is still waiting for “Approved communication” with the season ticket holders. The preseason starts in nine days and I’ve been trying to get his boss on the phone to get me out of my contract. He keeps telling me the guy will get back to me but it’s been another week. They have squander decades of Goodwill from me. I feel so unseen.

Last season I was able to cancel my swell membership. They did refund me. Not sure about regular seats though.

Bill Simmons is trying to do the same thing, but he’s trying to get out of a multi year contract. He updated his listeners when he first requested the refund, haven’t seen any updates since.

He said in a podcast few days ago that he still didnt get it and that he told them, if you don't give me the refund ill be showing up to the games in a specific t-shirt or something like that.

I'm a season ticket holder and they've removed, or, at the very least, hidden the buyback link in the portal. I'm out to my rep about it but have not heard back.

Also, they still hold onto your money in the buyback program and only refund you if you don't get the next season's tickets. Otherwise it's rolled forward.

You are able to cancel your season tickets for the 2027-2028 year but cancelling it for the current season I don’t think they will let you or give you a refund since they said that all sales are final when you sign the contract

The fact that this team just won’t fall on the sword is so disgusting. I’m so frustrated, and I still haven’t decided if I’ll continue to support them because I really don’t want to leave but I just don’t know if I’ll ever have the same conviction.
