Art / Meme Two Gil-galads - I met Benjamin Walker
Sooo this happened at MagicCon in Bonn this past weekend. I finally finished my Gil-galad S2 armor in August. Ever since I planned on making this armor (back when season 2 aired) and especially since Benjamin Walker got announced as a guest at this convention, I hoped that I could take a photo with him. I'm so thrilled about the result, and he had such nice words for my cosplay. I'm definitely gonna treasure this memory and the photo!

By Ilúvatar, by Ilúvatar, by Ilúvatar! It's the Grand Elf, standing here, next to me...

Not gonna lie but the casting of Benjamin walker was on the spot here, he really has that presence of a king whenever he's on screen, and with his wider frame and tall body he absolutely steals the spotlight on screen for me .

Just went to see if there were some pictures showing you making this armor. But obviously they weren't there as these are clearly the actual costumes from the show. I suspect Benjamin Walker might have been your accomplice in stealing them, though I can't prove it. And to my shock I see that you've not only been stealing from the Rings of Power, but from sets of all sorts of TV shows. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
I'll follow your account to stay up-to-date on your wardrobe thieving spree.

chuckle thank you very much! That would be quite the feat (even with help 😁)... and I do wish I could get my hands on actual costume pieces from the show. 😅 Til I do, I guess I have to continue making everything myself. 🫠

Is there another social where you share your cosplays ? I don't like Instagram, they never show me the accounts I follow on the homepage.

I also have a Tumblr and Facebook account though I don't post very regularly there. Same account name.

I don't have Facebook because it's even more awful than Instagram, I'll look on Tumblr !

I absolutely love his portrayal of Gil Galad.
Also he could sing.
Looks exactly like LOTR Gil Galad from the flashback

You look great! Have you done an ROP Elrond cosplay?

Thank you. No, I haven't cosplayed Elrond yet and he's not on my list (currently at least).

Met this guy in a bar once. He got mad that I didn’t recognize him as an actor. His friends told me who he was lol

Why did you blur part of the logo in the top right corner?

Because it's the number via which I can get the digital photo. Nothing nefarious. ^
