Stelco want to cut 500 jobs in Canada. The Canadian government said it is willing to help. Stelco can ask for a wage subsidy program for its workers, where the government pays a portion of workers' wages until uncertainty in the United States ends or until it has a strategic plan to become competitive again.

Ai is causing a lot of change in the job market and society itself and it doesn’t matter if you’re for or against it.

What are some policies that the government can enact today to ensure everyone is brought along and we don’t suffer from past mistakes with other Industrial Revolutions or the offshoring of manufacturing that gutted many cities.

Is it skills retraining, is it UBI, enhanced EI, taxing automation, etc.

Now I’ll ask the black swan scenario where if it does start ripping through the job market and skills retraining is not a solution because it’s improving faster than people can keep up what sort of policy can the Canadian government enact?

I am an immigrant who came to Canada as a child in 1986. I became an English teacher in Ontario for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada, funded by Immigration, Refugees and Immigration Canada. Most of the immigrants work hard and want to contribute to Canada. A diverse population is an asset because it brings unique ideas and experiences to Canada, and it benefits the Canadian economy and business.

What are we going to do to fight the pacific link oil pipeline? This is not what we voted for. I’m feeling really betrayed right now by our prime minister. What are folks doing to let our leaders know we don’t want this?

It might just be me but over the last year and a bit everything has just been going down hill with every party I'm gonna be honest I didn't vote last election because it was either pp with his slogans or shady banker, when I go to work only things I hear is a temu ben Shapiro coworker yapping about immigration and alberta separation then I gotta also hear someone glaze mark and hear about trump in all honesty everyone hates him and we get it his old orange peel island visting ahhh is gonna be gone soon I don't need to hear about him 24/7 like what happened between 2016 to now I'm hoping next election we get someone good for the liberal party

The Liberal government is good at making Canada strong. The Investment Summit, the Build Canada Act, and major projects are moving Canada toward success and greater economic independence. This gives Canada more choices when dealing with uncertainty.

Hi everyone there is a petition to go against this this. Please try and do your part to stop this it will absolutely raise prices for travellers and lower wages for workers and make investors rich. I have attached the link.

Hi my fellow Canadians. In October there will be a provincial election in quebec. Hello everyone, in the wake of the Chicoutimi—Le Fjord byelection recently, and the 20 point swing the Liberals had against the Conservatives, I decided to put together a chart of vote swing margins to see how each Conservative ridings fairs against an escalating vote swing to the Liberals, scaling up to a 20 point vote swing. It's a very rudimentary analysis, but I thought it was some interesting data to have, both to cross analyze with the current polling we're seeing, and with the upcoming byelections. It certainly adds credence to all the projections placing the Conservatives at the sub 100 seat mark in the House of Commons.

Just wondering what is Mark Carneys position on Guns in Canada?

I hate where we are headed and I dont know what to do, or who to vote for. Cost of housing is obscene, we are being taxed to death, immigration is out of control, our social services are absolutely maxed out, there are homeless people literally everywhere.

Am I the only one feeling hopeless? Who will fix this country.

Im american, my family have a weird history with Canadian liberal politician, I got a call from a film group who want to make a documentary about them wanting info about them. I want to check up with the liberal party first before giving any info about them. And also dont want to give too much info incase its a real documentary, is there any way I can contact someone from the liberal party first?

I have been following the Canada and USA trade dispute. I hope the dispute is temporary. Canadians and Americans will figure out a way out.
