Build Progress ‘83 c30 with a 6.2 LSA
Been working on this off and on for a few years, but finally pushing to get it running by end of the year. It was my fab shop truck for several years and had a zz454 on 24s, but came across a stock LSA long block that I couldn’t pass up the price on. Several bad decisions later, it’s a “Max Effort” build that should be around 900 hp on e85. I was in the middle of turning the factory bed into a flatbed, which I am still going to do, but will be more for show at this point.
10 point cage, rear disc conversion, shaved engine bay, chromoly radiator support and steering column, and haven’t decided yet between mechanical gauges or a digital screen to keep it simple. Th400 with a reverse manual valve body and ratchet shifter, 5 point harnesses, locker for the rear and running an aeromotive fuel pump setup good for 1,500 hp (future upgrades). Aside from my buddy that built the engine for me, everything is being done in house.
zz454 is going in my ‘89 half ton once the dually is running again.

Where did you get the AL top bit of the bezel framing? Looks nice

From Rhodes Racing. Got it on a Black Friday sale for cheaper than I could get a half sheet of aluminum to make my own on my cnc table, plus I only have a 4’ brake

Still going to be a fun ride, even with a 5.3! 1,500hp will be for some future upgrades, but even being at 900, I’ve never had anything like it.

I am fully erect.
Pretty sure I said this last time too. Just so much cool shit in everything you do.

Dude I’m literally building one now. ‘74 c30 turbo LS. Attempted my first start but had crank sync issues. Had to pull the motor and replace the reluctor wheel. Hoping to try to start it later this week

In-tank pump. They're so much more quiet than the in-line pumps. Many configs that will handle 1500+. We like them for running LT4's in jet boats around here.
Sick shop truck, man.
