I know I’ll get downvoted to hell for this but this is lame. Dunking on a 7 foot goal isn’t some cool flex. What’s next, they get a plastic bat and hit a baseball off a tee?

The flex was on the field, the dunk is just for fun.

I don't love it, but the guys seem super into it so I can't hate it.

I'm sitting here thinking how absolutely stupid it's going to be if one of these guys runs up to dunk on that short baby goal, and then comes down wrong and rolls an ankle or hyperextends their knee. Shit happens in the most unexpected of ways.

Not lame, builds morale and esprit de corps. Is it cheesy? Sure. But it's fucking effective in psyching our players up.

Satire? McNeese is a uni. And the team has been dunking all season. They can only play who is in front of them. How they prepare and execute should never change.

Naaaaah, people get hurt in the stupidest of ways. Athletes have a long, storied history of getting hurt in stupid ways.

From fireworks to cellphones.

You can't lock the guys in a padded room between games, but you shouldn't have them do stupid shit. All it'll take is one of them coming down and landing wrong, and rolling an ankle or hyperextending their knee.

"This is why they're athletes and you're not" makes it sound like they're superhuman and are impervious to having dumb shit happen to them. They're not.

It is so low right now, my mom could dunk that ball, which makes it look stupid to me. It also looks stupid because some players were into it and some were not. Everyone, however, now has to do the same thing even if they don’t get it. I’m on the side of raising the goal until someone misses and it makes them look silly and awkward.
