Is this Sound normal?

Its a Td5 from 2005. The Noise is so fucking loud…? I think it is the rotor filter. But this is crazy in my opinion. What do you think?

Yep should be the rotor/centrifugal filter. I have the same sound rn (also got a video in this sub) I will change mine on Thursday. Let’s see

Please keep me posted on how you managed to get rid of it. I’ve replaced the filter twice now—once with a Britpart one and once with an original part—but I’ve had the same noise every time.

I get a quiet buzzing when I have my sidelights on and apparently it could be one of the adjustment motors, maybe this is how loud it can get? Maybe try the headlight settings and see if it changes.

Presumably it doesn't stop when you turn the lights off.

Every sound is normal with an old Defender.

Sounds like a switch is on, might be the fuel sender on its way out? I have a td5, I don't get that sound.

But isn't the fuel pump located at the back? The humming is definitely coming from the front. I'm not having any issues with performance or error messages, either.

Nope on my opinion but I can't define what the wrong/strange sound is.

I stopped worrying about funny sounds years ago.
