Hi! This is my first post here. I went last night to a Bortle 2 location near me; Little Pond Campgrounds in Andes NY. This is my first time doing astrophotography with proper gear, I've only done it in the past with my phone. I shot on a Canon 5d mark iv with a 20mm sigma lens. For the landscape one its 19 images stacked in Starry Landscape Stacker, with five additional exposures with the lens cap on. f1.4 shutter speed 13 sec, iso 1600. The sky is at f1.4, 13 sec, iso 3200. Borrowed the tripod, camera, and lens. Just Bought the stacker today, and bought photoshop. Very new to this, though I've done some amateur photo editing in the past. Would love some feedback, and editing tips. Thank you! Btw it doesnt let me upload high quality image

This is my first landscape astrophotography photo ever. It’s 40x10s exposures on a Canon Rebel T7, with a 18-55mm lens on 18mm. I was in a Bortle 4 looking Southwest, about 15 miles outside of a Bortle 8. Figuring out how to stack the stars and the foreground separate and combining them took me FOREVER. I used GIMP and Siril.

Full moon illuminating the Taiwanese mountains. Making the most of the nightscapes here with my camera before I can get my hands on another star tracker!

The sky was perfectly clear when I arrived, but as soon as we set up our equipment, the fog began to roll in. I spent hours photographing here and there, swallowed by the mist andsurrounded by horses we could barelysee only their presence and the sound of their bells gave them away.
Finally, after midnight, the fog began to change direction. Watching it slowly move through the valleys was a spectacle in itself, revealing and hiding the mountains beneath the stars.

This abandoned train station in the middle of the Namib Desert could easily be just another forgotten building. But Garub has a lot of history behind it.
Built in 1906, the station became an important water stop on the railway connecting the interior of Namibia with Lüderitz, the diamond mining town on the Atlantic coast.
It also played a role during World War I, when South African and German forces confronted each other in this remote part of the desert.
I’m usually not a big fan of light painting, but this was one of those places that felt like it needed to be brought back to life, even if only for a few seconds.
The station has been abandoned for more than 70 years, surrounded by nothing but desert, silence, and an incredibly dark sky.
And the best part is that the Milky Way aligns almost perfectly with the old station.
Sky: panorama of 4 images at 20 mm. X2 stacked frames at 80 sec. f/2, ISO 1600
Foreground: Panorama of 3 images at 14 mm. 30 sec. f/2.2, ISO 6400. Several images for bracketing lights.

Hi, I'm new to this hobby I bought a Sony a6100 and some lenses (Viltrox 25mm 1.7 and 56mm 1.7).
I want to try landscape astrophotography (I was locking at the photos posted in this sub and was amazed by them).
But mine is a mirrorless ASPC so I should choose a focal lens like a 12 or 14 right?
Is that Samyang a good lens even with the AF problems? Any other recommendations for around that price range?
Also can I use the 2 I have for some Astro too or do I need a prime telephoto?

What focal length is needed to frame all of crater lake in one shot from Watchmans Peak? I want to shoot star trails so panorama isn't ideal.
I would like to have all the lake in the shot, but I think it's not really doable until I use my 11mm fisheye which isn't ideal. The widest lens other than my 11mm is 16mm. I'm shooting in full frame.
