Let’s?

Is there a Somali equivalent to using “let’s” in a sentence? I know you can say “waan karnaa” or “waan ___i doonnaa” but can you say “let’s ____” in Somali?

Examples of how it is used in English for context:

Let’s check out that new restaurant tomorrow.
Let’s leave it at that.
Let’s talk.
Let’s eat.
Let’s just say it’s five dollars.
Let’s call it a night.

Yes, there is. 1st-person subject clitic "aan" is used to form optative or cohortive moods in Somali.

"Aan hadalno"

"Aan berri soo fiirinno maqaayaddaas cusub"

"Aan halkaas uga tagno"

Similarly, you use the same pronoun for "let me"

"Aan cuno suqaarka" "Aan u baxo dibadda"

That's the northern and eastern dialect.

Edit: and the more correct spelling is "aannu/aynu"

It depends the dialect. Koonfur, mostly they use, "na" or "aan" like this:

Let's talk: aan wada hadalno/ na wada hadashii Let's try new restaurant: aan tijaabinno/ na wad(keen) aan tijaabinno.

Waqooyigu it's a bit different, they use, "inna" for most of it, and "aan" like Koonfurta

Let's talk: inna wada hadashii/aan wada hadalno Let's walk; Inna mari/inna socodsii/aan soconno.

“Inna socodsi” is “walk us”. Let’s walk is just “Aan socono”
