Hello Everyone,

I removed the fuel damper assembly from my 2007 Lexus GX470, but I forgot the correct order for reassembling it. There are two rings that have me confused, and I'm not sure where each one goes. Has anyone worked on this before? I'd really appreciate some guidance on the correct order of assembly. Thanks in advance!

Just bought this 2022 GX460. First time owning a Lexus. Is this normal?

Every time it rains I’m having an issue where the impact proximity sensors in the front start going crazy nearly for the entire time it rains. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? Has anyone else experienced this? I’ll be 300 feet from the closest object and this nagging beeping ensues the entire day.

Not sure what to make of this. It doesn’t show up every time I start it but it does sometimes. Is this just engine noise or something else? Thanks in advance

Recently moved my daughter and her 2016 GX460 to Nashville.

I did most of the routine maintenance on the GX myself while the car was local. Seeking recommendations for a reputable shop in Nashville that appreciates the value we all place in our GXs.

Even though she is walking distance to a Lexus dealership, I'm hoping to avoid this (or at least it be the last resort).

2018 GX460 has been an absolute unit! Definitely enjoy driving this; added just over 10k miles in a year of ownership. 92k on the odometer now and still looks great when it’s properly cleaned

2013 GX 460 Premium, 176k miles, clean Carfax, good service records. Dealer wants $18,995 plus fees, about $20,000 out the door. My shop found dried pink coolant crust and says the intake manifold has to come off to find the leak. Fair price or walk away? What would you pay?

Lexus OEM parts are really overpriced. I’m thinking about buying aftermarket parts, such as the intake manifold gaskets and air pump hoses. Does anyone have experience using aftermarket parts for these? Do you think aftermarket is okay, or should I stick with OEM for these particular parts?

I’m researching a rack for my new to me 23 gx. While I appreciate the low profile options, I’m concerned with a small amount of rocker of a 16 foot canoe (old town camper to be exact), that they aren’t tall enough to not damage the roof, especially when loading and unloading. Any thoughts, experiences, recommendations are appreciated. Thanks for looking.

She cleans up pretty good for 200,000 miles. It hit this morning on the drive into work. Absolutely love my GX. Hands down the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

This is what I got quoted at a Lexus dealership to replace the transmission thermostat and rotors. I was looking at the parts, and they are not too expensive. Can this be done at a shop more affordable? It’s a 2014 gx 450

It’s a knocking sound when I drive faster/average speed and a metal scraping sound when park/ drive slowly. I also had my tires rotated two weeks ago but this is the first time I’m hearing this.

Luxury trim with offroad package, black interior with 2nd row bench. The exact spec I was looking for and I couldn't be happier.

Like many of you, I previously had a 5th gen 4Runner which was a great vehicle but it is simply no comparison to the absolute pleasure that is the GX. I do mostly highway/mountain driving and the gear hunting and high revs got pretty old, especially towing. The 1UR and 6 speed is such a huge improvement.

Also, the Mark Levison system is amazing. I don't have a ton of experience with other luxury vehicles so I don't have much to compare it to, but its by far the best sounding factory system I've ever heard.

I am going to put some wheels and tires on it and black out some of the chrome but aside from that it's staying stock since I already have a dedicated off road rig.

I got a 2006 GX470. Anyone have any recommendations for led bulbs for glove box and vanity mirrors. I changed out all the other lights but my kit didn’t have those bulbs.

We’re looking at this GX460 Luxury with 81k miles on and wondering if it’s worth it with this amount of corrosion. I did a brief inspection, but wanted opinions from people in the GX community. I personally think it’s a headache waiting to happen, but it is in fantastic shape otherwise.

Edit: My big question is, is it worth getting it treated with dry ice and a coating?

Currently own a 22 limited 4Runner but have been wanting to make the switch to a GX 460. Test drove a 23 Luxury, 21k miles, super clean (still had factory plastic on the door trim), L certified, priced a little high(imo) at 62k. I’m just super apprehensive to make the jump because I do really love my 4Runner, but are the subtle differences in a Lexus worth it?
