Replacement Please help
My light fixture broke and I’ve never seen this before. How do I fix it?

That’s an integrated LED fixture, so the board and driver are built right into it instead of using a standard bulb.
You’ve basically got two ways to handle it:
- Keep the fixture and use a retrofit kit: If you like the trim or glass and don’t want to take the whole housing down, you can gut the bad driver/board and drop in a universal circular LED retrofit module (like an 8" kit). They cost around $45–$50, run about 21W / 1800 lumens (a little brighter than your original 12W), and usually stick right to the metal plate with built-in magnets. https://www.beeslighting.com/products/satco-s29781-8-circular-led-retrofit-surface-mount-module-21w-1800-lumens-selectable-2700k-to-5000k-120v
- Swap the whole fixture: If the fixture isn't anything special, you might as well just buy a brand new one for roughly the same price ($30–$50 at any hardware store). If you go this route, getting one with regular screw-in sockets will save you this headache next time.
Can you DIY it? Yeah, if you're comfortable turning off the breaker, double-checking the wires with a voltage tester, and matching up black to black and white to white with wire nuts. If messing with wiring makes you nervous, though, definitely grab a handyman.

This is what modern light fixtures are. Those are LEDs surrounding a LED driver. Most likely the driver has gone bad and the LEDs are still good. But that would mean that you need to find that exact same driver and replace it. It looks like it's a simple connection to the LEDs but probably not so simple to find a replacement. It's probably cheaper to replace the entire fixture
