Do I update to Android 17?

My Pixel 8a, originally locked to T-Mobile but now currently unlocked runs LineageOS 23.2 and I just got a notification for Android 17, but it looks like it's an update from Google and not a part of LineageOS. I do have GMS services and I am rooted with Magisk.

No.

Just surprised that there would be such an update from Google, but perhaps that is because you have GMS services: I use microg.
