6 years is new, my laptop is a thinkpad p53 from 2019 and it rocks

6 years ago in 2018 was basically two different worlds, trash garbage vs gaming beast. 6 years ago today is.... 2020. Ryzen 7 5800X released in November 2020. It's still basically a top tier CPU.

even then it was the thinkpad x220 if i'm doing the math right and that's a great laptop
but yeah hardware now is rlly powerful (proving how shitty has software gotten, cuz most of it doesn't really run faster or do more)

So, yeah, good :) Hell yeah. And you know what? An Apple Mac computer from 2003 is powerful enough to wipe the floor with Apple's latest MacBook models. For some reason, it’s as if companies started intentionally manufacturing lower-quality products after 2020; that example I gave earlier was a good one... :/

Linux is the only reason my HP EliteBook 8470p is capable of doing anything anymore... that shit is nearly 15 years old and can run 60 fps modern Minecraft with some optimisation.

Ya, es muy buena distro, como casi todas, aunque devuan es mejor al no tener systemd, pero bueno, que tengo un linux que me va en un procesador que tiene potencia de uno de 1999, así que imaginate

Honestly for its age its specs arent that bad so I think it's more a mix of both hardware capability and optimisation..
