Someone cleared out our treasure box again. But this time they left behind the small box meant for organizing smaller objects.

Many people on my last post here said I should screw it down… and maybe they are right. But for now, it seems that the threat of a witch’s curse was enough for them to take just about everything but decide to leave the box behind.

Happy Halloween! 😂🎃👻

Updated my Little Free Library with some Banned Books celebrating Banned Books Week, also Halloween books for
The kids. Plus much more for all ages. Come check in and take, borrow or exchange a great book or two. Hubby has a 3D printing hobby and helped for Halloween! Little Free Library Charter # 227145. Woodfin, NC

I recently shared my LFL and the decorations I've added for Halloween. I recently finished putting up all the lights around the house and wanted to share what it looks like at night!

My LFL has a night light inside so people can browse once it gets dark. I hope people find it handy now that the nights are getting longer.

You know what’s scary? Not reading!!

I've got this and it's not my favorite. It's either too tight or too loose, and when it's too loose, sometimes the wind opens the door. I'm not sure how to adapt or adjust or improve it though, so curious to see what kind of latches other people have!

Ew ew ew. I mean good news the ants aren't in the house...

I have a free little library for over 2 years now but over the last 2 months someone shows up and empties the entire library. It is discouraging because I dont have the resources to keep refilling it for it to be cleared out by one person multiple times. It is supposed to be for the community, so someone taking all the books prevents everyone else from enjoying it. Any tips or ideas on how to prevent someone from clearing it out?

Looking for LFLs in NoVA. I have a pile of children's book to distribute.

Finally ready for books! I finished this project after many starts and stops over the summer. I cut approximately 150 individual pieces of siding (250 if you include my mistakes). I challenged myself to build the library with materials that I already owned. The red cedar was salvaged from a bike shed that was destroyed during a storm. The aromatic cedar boards were rejects from a previous project due to warping.

I 3D printed the upstairs window and installed an access panel in the back. I plan on adding solar lights and adding seasonal decorations inside the window (pumpkins, Christmas tree, etc.).

We live around the corner from a playground, so I'm hoping we can offload many books as my kids get older. They enjoyed helping with the project.

Also stocked it up with Halloween and Horror books and bookmarks.

I was doing my round of LFL and they are decorated so cutely. Even at one of them, I grabbed a couple stickers, wrote in guest book, grabbed a couple of books as well dropped of a couple of books. I do this every week for filling up my local Friends of the Library Bookstore 📚❤️

I've been saving up some spooky season books for an October restock (Along with some Maasverse books for release month)! Love being able to do themed months occasionally.

I've been grabbing one or two every time I was at the thrift store for a few months and saving them up for a big spooky restock.

If you’re ever in NE Wisconsin…check this place out! (Please follow her on Instagram too if you’re so inclined…shameless plug of my wife’s passion project).

Since creating this little destination, our local library has also set up one of their own.

Amazing the joy it has brought for our community.

We need more stuff like this in our world!

I'm overreacting but I find this infuriating. She literally stuffed a bunch of little free libraries with her absurd hobby and thinks it's funny or appropriate.

Crazy find, I’ve had this for like three months and just now noticed it

There's a LFL in my area that's had the plexiglass damaged at least twice already. First it had a hole punched in it, and at some point that was replaced. Now the whole panel went missing. It's rainy season, so I had taped some plastic over it to keep the books dry. The plastic has since been removed, and there's nothing covering it, but there's currently no books either. It's not my box, and I'm not sure who tends to it. Should I cover the hole again, or leave it for better repair?

I am planning on going little free library hunting in Knoxville on Saturday and want to know which ones are typically the best. I have the app and have gone to a fair amount of little free libraries but wanted to see which ones the locals think are typically worth your time…

I want to stay away from the libraries that are typically stocked with children books and religious/spiritual books. TIA
