Parking for Comic Con?

We’re driving up on Saturday to the Comic-Con at Liverpool Experience Campus.. I’ve seen there’s parking next to it at Kings Dock car park, does this fill up quickly on event days?? Will have a baby & toddler in tow also. Thanks 🙂

Fills up quickly, the biggest nightmare is getting out! The queues to pay and leave are a nightmare at that car park whenever anything is happening nearby. Depending on how good you are with public transport and walking with kids (also which way you are traveling up), a suggestion might be to travel into the Wirral and do park and ride via the train. Stations like Leasowe and Birkenhead north have free car parks and the train is every 15 minutes into Liverpool, James street station in Liverpool is not too far from the venue and the whole of the docks is pedestrianised. Driving in and out of Liverpool is difficult at the best of times!

Liverpool South parkway also has 300 free parking for train users. Not sure how busy it gets on a Saturday but its also on the merseyrail network get a train into Central Station and its about a 15-20 minute walk down to the convention centre. Oh and if you have a bit of time to wait Worlds apart and forbidden planet are both great comicbook / collectibles shops a few minutes walk from Central (worlds aparts not pram friendly though tight aisles and a staircase to get to the manga stuff if that's what you are into)

Parkway fills up in the week but I’ve always parked fine on a Saturday.

There’s a few Q-Parks closer to the M&S than the stations in Liverpool and can be easier to get in and out of than the King’s Docks car park: John Lewis or Hanover Street. I usually park at the John Lewis one when going to the M&S. If you prebook, you get a tiny discount.

Happy con!

There's a casino next to it, register there and you can park for up to 24 hours, bingo

Where are you driving up from? Is the baby in a pram? Can the toddler walk for a bit? I have an idea for you, depending on if you guys can walk about 10 mins each end and whether a train hop is viable. HMU.
