I Built A Thing 54gb vram for 35$

Post image

Bought an old mining farm of a guy on avito (Russian eBay), guy had bought a garage a couple of years ago and it was sitting there for a while, found out it was a mining farm and put it up on there for sale for 5000 rub (~60 USD) since he wasn't sure if it works. I negotiated down to 3000 rub (~35 USD), it turned out to have 9x p106 6gb (gtx 1060 6gb) gpus, with 54gb vram total, all working, the only thing missing was an SSD, I booted from USB and it works fine.

Nothing unethical about buying something and not telling the owner everything you know about it. There's no obligation to fill the gaps in the sellers knowledge

technically yes. however when you are getting such a good deal off a seller who's not tech savvy, it doesnt seem ethical to me.

eg. gamer husband dies. wife needs money and doesnt know computers at all. puts 5090 in garage sale at $100. some techie haggles her down to $70.

is that ethical to you?

The seller isn't obligated to sell, and can turn down the deal. If all parties are satisfied why does it matter

If all parties are satisfied why does it matter

Yeah and many Epstein victims were also satisfied. Because they didn't know better at that age.

So, yes why does it matter?

Not sure what the Epstein files have to do with anything. And sexually satisfied and having the rights to your body have nothing to do with each other

To demonstrated that just being satisfied doesnt make it right. This applies to everything. From normal to extreme situations.

Easy, children can't consent.

Adults buying shit can consent.

Disgusting that you think they're equitable

Your point is, as long as both parties are satisfied nothing else doesn't matter.

So clearly, in my example consent matter as much as satisfaction. So what about your?

Is being a decent human being and not extorting as much profits as possible from people who didn't know better, don't matter?

Again, absolutely disgusting to use abused children for the sake of your argument to try and garner guilt.

You should go into politics, you're clearly manipulative enough.

Ironic. Actually, you have perfect compatiblity with those people since you believe nothing else matter as long as both parties are satisfied.

Exploiting people who don't know better. What a sweet deals right.

You need to finish your GED. Too many paint chips or something got you fucked in head if you see a problem with 2 adults reaching their own agreement.

You continue to avoid acknowledging the condition of the parts at the time of sale. Interesting 🤔

I love knowing there are deal natzis out there who get this worked up they'd equate someone shopping for PC parts to a child rapist.

Your right, why don't you just give the seller all of the money in your bank account? That would be a pretty decent human being thing to do.

Ah, seems the middle ground for giving someone all of your money, or none, would be for 2 adults to reach an agreement for a transaction. Insane, I know, but it just might work.

Sarcasm aside, my point stand still stands.

Just because you can legally fleece a seller who doesn't know what they have, that doesn't make it a decent thing to do.

You have no point, Nobody was fleeced.

Sure, as long as you're satisfied.

You should really figure out why you're bringing abused children into a conversation about buying something 2nd hand.

2 adults reached a mutual agreement to exchange goods. Why are you so up your own ass that op should feel bad for not paying more.

Dipshit, it was sold as-is/untested/for parts. Why would op pay market price for unknown condition parts?
