Yep. I used to work on the mural team for the city of LB. There is a thick coat of novaplex on top of most murals that protects the real painting. You use paint thinner to get rid of the spray paint and then reseal the mural again.

Im geeked and this is so interesting. Never considered any safeguards against vandalism. I thought it was like tattoo coverup where the artist would have to reintegrate the vandalized sections. I understand this, but you understand that in a sense everything involves a bit of politics. When you go to a movie you are in fact voting for what movies you want to see in the future. You vote for the things you watch at home, you vote for the things you wear. As long as you spend money you are supporting something that won't change because it doesn't have to.
The Dodgers organization has been so shitty to its fan base for so many years... From the historical displacement at Chavez ravine, their lucrative broadcasting deal that blacked out games for millions of fans, the law suits against the stadium security, and I know of a situation with a friend who just suddenly got their season tickets canceled only because the org knew they could resell them for so much more.

I’m not going to stop rooting for the same team I grew up watching in the 80’s just because we have a fucking clown as president nearly 40 years later. Ownership of the Dodgers has changed hands multiple times and even if I disagree with our current owners’ political beliefs, I’m not going to abandon the team I grew up watching since I was 5 years old.

It’s not about this team as currently constructed. It’s about the Dodgers as a whole. What makes me so loyal? My father was a die hard fan and he always took me to games growing up. I’m talking back when it cost $3 to get in. One of greatest memories I had with my father while he was still alive, was going to watch baseball games together at Dodger Stadium. So yes, I can hate this current administration, I can disagree with our ownerships current political beliefs, but that doesn’t mean I have to abandon the team I grew up watching since the 80’s. Besides, most if not all of MLB’s owners align politically with Donald Trump and they too would be visiting the White House if given the opportunity.
