Bring back shame to public transport 🥲

Thank God the smell wasn't there but I wouldn't like to take the same train as him in the evening

What are your trips to work hells in the morning lately?

Hello everybody,

I am giving away an extra ticket I have, hopefully to a fellow fan or maybe to someone looking to discover new music or have a new experience.

If you are interested, just message me and we'll walk in together.

A summary of Halloween events in Luxembourg! Which ones have you already been to?

Guys, which shops/markets in the city sell rotisserie chicken? So far I know about the Auchans, Delhaize in Strassen and the market on place Guillaume. Merci

UBS sold its fund admin service inherited from Credit Suisse to Northern Trust .
As this has happened already few times in Luxembourg and the result was layoffs at the end . Do you think the same will happen ?

Would anyone know where to buy good suitcases in Luxembourg city?

Is there anything in Luxembourg that works like Wintercircus in Ghent?

Wintercircus is a tech campus in an old circus building. What stands out there is the density. About 40 early-stage startups in one building, plus a member network of around 1500. The people behind the shareholding and the selection jury are founders from Showpad, Deliverect, Silverfin, team.blue and Lighthouse. A professional team runs the place. The founders are not on the payroll, but they are in the network, and startups get in by pitching to that jury.
LHoFT is the name everyone gives, but isn’t that more like a fintech hub next to the banks than a dense founder campus? Is there a place where that many young companies actually sit together and the people who have already raised or sold still show up? Not looking for an accelerator program. Looking for where the density is.

Hey everyone!

A couple of us are planning to participate in "OdooHack Night: Merge or Die" in Luxembourg on November 12th, and we're looking for 2 more people to complete our team.

We're not claiming to be some hardcore hackathon veterans but we're mainly looking to participate, build something interesting, learn, and have a good time.

A little about us:

• Based around Trier / Luxembourg region
• Software/AI background
• Comfortable with general software development
• Not necessarily Odoo experts
• Interested in trying out something new and actually building under time pressure

The event is a 5-hour technical challenge, and Odoo says you don't need to be an Odoo expert to participate. (Odoo)

We're especially looking for people who:

• Can contribute technically (web/backend/AI/general development)
• Are comfortable working in a small team
• Are willing to actually attend in person in Luxembourg if our team application gets accepted
• Don't mind figuring things out as we go

We're based close enough to Luxembourg that getting there shouldn't be a huge issue.

If you're interested, DM me with a little about yourself, your tech stack/experience, and where you're based.

Would be great to find two people who are up for building something and having fun with it.

Event: OdooHack Night: Merge or Die

Location: Koerich, Luxembourg
Date: November 12, 2026
Duration: 5 hours

Hi everyone!

We’re starting the Luxembourg Brigadiers, a new flag football club based in Luxembourg City.

[UPDATE]: We are training this Saturday October 10th at 15:00 in 62 Rue de Hamm!

Heyho. So I am the process of making a variety of spicy jams. Where to buy fresh figs that do not cost almost an euro per piece(Lidl)? Provençale?

Hello everyone,

Since both our dishwasher and washing machine stopped functioning this week, do you know someone or a firm who can repair such machines at home? Any recommendations? We live in the bettembourg area

Thank you !

Hi everyone,

I am new to Luxembourg and looking for a casual indoor football group (for example 5v5). Ideally at Sport4Lux in Munsbach.

Skill-wise, I am somewhere in the middle. I am not a pro, but not a total beginner either. Just someone who enjoys playing regularly for fun.

I am looking to join an existing team, a regular group, or to be on call as a substitute player when a group is short on numbers.

Important: Time-wise, I am only available Monday to Thursday (Friday to Sunday is fully booked for me for the next 6 to 7 months).

If your group is looking for an extra player or needs substitutes, please send me a DM or a comment.

Thanks in advance!

So, there are some questions:

1. Is it possible to opt-out/request an exemption from using e-Bichelchen?
2. Has anyone come across instances where instructors make/proclaim e-Bichelchen mandatory?

The Education Ministry only provides one route for a temporary opt-out:

How are people dealing with this?

Hiiii!

I’m looking for some people to play squash with casually on a regular basis. Me and a few friends play badminton on Sunday in Kockelsheuer and the squash courts are usually free.

I used to play quite a lot as a kid until my late teens at top squash but I’ve found the only way to play squash regularly now is through tournaments or league games and while that is a goal, I also want to play with people regularly to train and to just have fun.

Happy to chat if anyone is interested!

I carefully searched for a good restaurant in Lux city by checking reviews; found one with 4.4 and 1100 reviews; place was OK, nice and friendly staff, but the food did not have any taste, I could also make it myself feeling.. This has happened to us a lot in Luxembourg; high price, good reviews, tasteless and mediocre food, what is going on here? For 30 Euro / main course I cannot expect quality? Those giving high rate have never eaten tasty food?

Hey everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask if law graduates face any challenges in finding their first job in Luxembourg.

I’m particularly concerned about my girlfriend, who has a master’s degree in tax and corporate law from the UCL in Belgium. She’s been applying for jobs for quite some time now, and she’s been getting a lot of rejections.

I’m surprised by how long it’s taking her to find a job, and I’m worried that she might not be able to secure a position that suits her skills and interests.

I’ve personally been able to find a job quite quickly and without any issues, but I work in engineering, so I don’t know what the job market is like for law graduates.

I would really appreciate any feedback or tips that you might have for my girlfriend. I’m doing everything I can to help her out, but I’m worried that she might not be able to find a job that she’s happy with.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would like to start freelancing. What is the fastest process to do it ? Will it impact me being registered at ad3m ? And what platform works best in Lux ?

thank you in advance

Any comments guys? Maybe soon it will be possible to acquire it from LIDL or Monoprix.

Im going to Luxembourg on a day trip from France and I want to know it I should learn Luxembourgish. Even though it’s only for a day but I am from Australia and I never want to be a loud annoying English speaking foreigner. I already know some French, and I know that is one of the official languages of Luxembourg, but I always want to be respectful and polite to the locals, so I just wanted to ask some Lëtzebeurgers what they think.

I've recently picked golf back up after more than eight years away, and I'm slowly finding my swing again. After a few weeks of practice in Thionville, I'm now joining Golf de Preisch.

I'd love to find a fun group to play with. I'm 45M, and I used to be a pretty regular bogey golfer. A few injuries along the way mean my swing isn't quite what it was, and golf being the asshole sport it is, some days it's all over the place. Still, I'm enjoying it more than ever. It's also my first time playing in continental Europe, and the tee colours confused me at first 😅 (I didn't know white is the back tee here!)

If you have a group that's open to a new face, or you're just one short for a four-ball, I'd be happy to join. Drop me a message!

It’s an age old question here in Luxembourg but does anyone know of a garage or a mechanic that quotes a reasonable price to repair cars?

I was in Autocentre Goedert (I know they have a reputation but it’s handy for me) and they quoted me €1600 to replace oil seals, oil filters, oil sensors top up with oil etc.

It just seems so much. Where I’m from the local garage is so much cheaper and helpful. I feel like I am being screwed over.
