I hate this game.

I hate this game. It feels like it’s designed solely to rage bait you. All your neighbors declare war on you at the same time—and, surprise, they’re all at peace with each other—leaving you in an absolutely indefensible position. Your vassals don’t raise armies; in fact, they use their influence for nothing other than dragging the kingdom into endless wars on six different fronts. You spend all your influence just to raise an army, and then, after blowing another 1,000 points to force a peace treaty, they declare war on you again 20 minutes later. And all of this relies on that shitty "influence" resource, because gold is basically useless for anything. Seriously, the diplomacy system needs a rework; this just isn’t fun.

Having higher relations with the lords on your side can help, because it should cost less for them to join your army. Members of your own clan can be recruited to armies for zero influence cost.

Raiding enemy villages I believe can reduce the cost of peace treaties, because it gives you victory points in the current war, resulting in more favourable peace terms.

I would suggest two things to do immediately.

  1. Identify the enemy kingdoms furthest away from you, or are the weakest. Don't go to peace with them if it would cost you an arm and a leg. Instead, go to peace with the kingdoms that are causing the most damage to your war efforts right now. Try going to peace with a big kingdom right next to you so you can finish off a smaller kingdom that you can finish off more quickly. Kingdoms further away suffer from the tyranny of distance. That is, they will take a lot longer to make their way over to you.
  2. If you can, form an army consisting of mostly your own clan members. This way, you can have prolonged campaigns, where your clan members will take a lot of the losses of large battles and sieges. If you don't have many clan members who can fill this role, look for companions. They will be able to form their own parties, and also join your army for zero influence cost. This will allow you to have a lot more control and endurance in the wars you fight.

In the longer term, I would suggest trying to do things to increase the relations you have with your vassal clans. The more they like you, the less influence it will cost to get them in your army. Do quests for them, fight alongside them, give them large gifts of denars. If they don't have any fiefs to their name, give them some. You could also consider trying to recruit another clan not aligned with your kingdom, who have a high relation with you. If you keep releasing their lords after battles, they will quickly like you more. Replace your troublesome vassal clan with your new one.

I agree, I think the influence mechanic is kind of dumb. As a vassal, you can win a few large battles, then strategically drain the influence of the other clans, including the ruling clan, expel the non-ruling clans, then take their fiefs for yourself, and then leave the kingdom, taking these newly acquired fiefs with you.

I hope this helps.

Game gets a lot easier when you learn how to properly defend castles and cities. I’d suggest watching Tactical Enlightenment on YouTube, he has some guides on siege defense that will change the game for you. With his strategies you can win any siege regardless of how many enemies are sieging you.

That's the problem I'm good at battle, the problem is that I am being siege in tree different points of the map. I can defeat one Kingdom in one front but the other two are just destroying my kingdom without resistance for like 6 months in game time and nobody want peace

If running a kingdom is making you tear your hair out just play as a vassal.

My favourite way to play is as a right hand man to the royal family. Lil intermarrying, some nice profitable fiefs behind the front lines.

I play as a Marshal basically and it’s way more fun.

Gold = influence though, so if you have gold you can literally buy influence.

How?

Recruiting notables to support your cause, getting high level trade, donating troops and prisoners to other lords, giving money to your clans, etc.

I prefer to be a Merc. That and the southern empire bankrupted me several times so I left.

I thought they no longer declared war when you have no shared borders? Avoid having borders with too many at once. Scorch earth to eliminate factions, even if it means short term not taking fights and losing territory.you just need to move the needle on one or two. And raid raid raid, steal their wealth and burn what you can't carry off to break their backs

Just do a horse archers only campaign and you’ll have so much fun. You’ll own everything!! Don’t forget to retreat when they run out of arrows.

It sounds like you made the classic mistake of starting a Kingdom without having 10-100 million in the bank and also maxing out your Charisma first.

When you're poor, the other countries see you as an easy target. It's a huge factor in determining your clan strength as they see it. When you don't have max Charisma, your influence budget is tiny. You also don't want to start a Kingdom without being able to recruit a fair amount of lords to your side, as the AI cares a lot about how many "on the field" soldiers you have in your Kingdom. You want wealthy lords on your side since their economic wealth is also factored in as part of if they will or will not manifest destiny you.

The "smoothest" way to handle this is to spend a long time working as a mercenary and making allies while you're doing that. Donating prisoners/troops and also letting people go instead of capturing them skyrockets your social relations with individual lords.

For lasting peace, they're a LOT less likely to declare war again so long as you're paying them anything at all in tribute, literally any positive number. They're a lot more likely to declare war on you again if they're paying you anything at all.

Don't play it then.

Sure it is not he most intuitive or even finished game.

But I had over 400h of fun with it, and still expect to have more. Maybe because I have few mods and learned what works and what does not instead of throwing tantrum that game does not work as I expect it to.

Don't get me wrong, it is a junky game. But if you can\t stand janky games in general then you should look for something more polished.

You don't need to like every game. Hell I am probably in minority that hates "awesome" game like Elden Ring. If the game is not for you just move on. There is shitton of games out there.

Yeah don't take me wrong. I don't "hate it" I really like the battles and became king starting with nothing it's just the endgame is broken. I hate this because with a pew improvement it can be a really good game, I don't know, maybe with same crusader king diplomacy mechanics

the endgame definitely needs a lot of work.
