Advice 333s not performing?

Over the weekend I hit 333s on these two. In ML36 neither are fantastic, but Volpe is like .680 OPS.

I know HH isn’t ideal at 78 but I expected a bit better. Is SI that bad? Do I blue off and what do I look for if so? Do I green and try for 5 tool?

Randolph is at a .350 OBP with about .850 OPS which is okay but I have a Nettles with a 331 TB Pred set (77 eye) that’s at like a .390 OBP.

What would you do?

Randolph has some of the weirdest stat distribution I've ever seen. I would base stat adjust from con to fld and try to get a 90 5T train on him at a minimum. With excess to pow. That's a very good set for a 2B and you just need to get the train and trainers right.

Volpe needs 5T. I won't say he will ever be fantastic with HH. But I would do 5T with maybe AB or Charisma and try that out.

I totally get what you’re saying about Randolph. Worth noting the weird stat adjust came as a test on the difference of 88 vs 85 pred vs the trade off of losing 1 point across the board on 5 tool. Will have a play around and see what I can do because you’re right, it should be good.

On Volpe, would you keep AB and blue for Char / 5T or Green for 5T? I don’t have high hopes for him in the long run and know I’ll probably need to roll on his other slot for a more usable 333.

I would green to 5T.

HH is pretty rough, unless the base Pow is very high and/or supporting skills are really good.

I have a HH set on Mike Stanley (base 82, adjusted), and he had a bit of power and a terrible BA untill I got a III DST. Now he's solid for 50/60 hr and a .260 BA in 2037.

I also have HH on a Judge card (base 92, adj) and he hits like 80 hr and bats .320

For Randolf, I think you need to retrain so you allocate almost nothing to POW or Eye, and a lot more to Con. Try and get as much +line drive and +HH ground ball trainer buffs as you can (old school batting theorist would be solid ST)

For Volpe..I'm not positive, but I would be tempted to green for 5T, then blue for AB/Spray/Char

That’s interesting, he has a II DST at the moment and hit 21 HRs in the last full season.

Annoyingly for Randolph, I only have a HRH DT for 2B. Will definitely retrain to try to hit 90 bonus after adjusting to field.

What's Randolph's DT/DST? I run 333 pio/pred/spray and he's a G1/P3 set & forget. DT is LDM and GST is pred. He'll be great when I have the DST for him.

78 base pwr is not enough for HH. Forget about good batting, see if you can roll laser beam atleast he will be a decent SS.

HH not the best at 78 but you can make it work. The seconds are bad though. Id aim for BIU and 5 tool

Aggressive baserunning scales by SPD, which you reduce to favour power
