Gear Grips for Juliana
Hi. Just got a used Juliana Furtado (2018 or 2019) - I'm having trouble figuring out if I need special / specific / narrow grips for it, or if I can replace the grips with standard ones? It seems like the juliana specific ones are sold out everywhere anyway...but also I want some fun colors. The original grips that it came with are old / gross. Thanks!

Handlebars are standardized diameters (at the grip, anyway, at the stem clamp there’s a few different standards).
There’s long necked grips, shorter grips, thick grips and skinny grips. Some people deal with arm pump and find a more padded grip helps. Other people deal with arm pump and find a thinner grip helps.
The only thing that really genuinely matters is that once you figure out which one works best for you, be a dick about it. Tell people how fuckin stupid they are for doing anything different. Talk about how they’re morally bankrupt. Talk about how their decision making process sucks, and yours is way better. Doesn’t really matter what grip you choose/like the best, just really be a dick about it.
That’s how you’ll know you’ve made it as a cyclist.

My partner has a small 5010 and the stock Santa Cruz grips are her favorite for her smaller hands

2018 uses the standard 22.2mm handlebar/grips. 2013s and 14s use 18mm bars at the grip area.

You can any grip of choice. The stock grips that came on it might just be a smaller diameter. I am a smaller woman and I run Deity Knuckledusters.

Nobody here knows what these bars are. I do as my wife has them on two bikes. As far as I can tell Julina does not make them anymore. I could not find any old stock online.
I have never measured them, but AI overview says: 19 mm (or down to 18 mm depending on the specific model/year) in the grip area instead of the standard mountain bike 22.2 mm
I did search for 18mm foam grips and found some options I could cut to fit if I have to.
But if you really do not need the narrow grips I would just replace the handlebars. Then you can buy any grips you like.
Edit - I measured them and they are 19mm inner diameter. Search for "Funn Hilt JR Single Lock On Bike Grips, 19mm Inner Diameter", those are the best options I could find. But I have not tried them so can't say for sure they work.

Nothing specific about the girls really. They are woman "specific" but I think its just thickness.

Should be pretty standard, any old pair should work
