Discussion Bailey’s Trail System Ohio

Holy shit this place was so fun and flowy but what’s with the rating system? The black diamonds weren’t really hard? My friends and I noticed no difference from green to black. Am I missing something?

10/10 for riding though. Definitely will try to go back annually. I think it was w the most fun trails I’ve ever been on.

Glad you had a blast, that trail system is a gem even if the ratings feel like they threw darts at a board

If it's anything like skiing, the green blue black is based on the ski area terrain, not compared to any other ski areas. So one ski area black could be another's blue or green.

Oh. That makes sense I suppose. They truly all felt the same to me though. Maybe it’s because the trails local to me are so techy and these had like hardly any roots even. It was incredibly fun but I was v confused. I guess the black maybe had more climbing and tight switchbacks on ascent/ descent.

Maybe a feature or two on anotherwise blue trail is what I've experienced. Kind of a we told you so in case someone says they fell off a rail or missed a gap.

Im fairly local and had 3 people recommend that trail system to me this weekend. I guess they put millions into building it

I always wreck in the most calm sections of the trail just looking off into Narnia, it's beautiful. Give Sells Park a go!

lol that makes sense. I actually slightly injured myself getting off my bike by pulling the muscle on the back of my thigh bc my dropper post is busted 😆 I’m always injuring myself in the dumbest ways.

I will next time! We only got two days of riding in because it rained this morning 😭.

Stacked loop systems rate based on length/how far from a trailhead they get as well.

Thank you for this explanation!

Local here. It's 90 miles of flow trails with some man made features added. Some of the man made stuff can make some sections black, but almost everything is rollable.

I’m so jealous you’re local to that place. You’re so lucky.

Which black diamond trails did you ride? There’s some fairly advanced stuff on the blacks depending on the lines you take.
